Sorry guys, this is the picture that I actually downloaded from the web....don't remeber where I found it, but I use it as inspiration on how I want mine to resemble.

Talk to me about those rims.

Look like HRE wheels from the logo in the middle. Looks either like a 590R or 790R. But I think the 895R would be my style:

Brushed finish with a clearcoat please.

How about a set of Volk's wheels 19x9.5 w/Yokohama AVS Sport Tires 265/30 rear and 19x8,5/tire 235/35 front... Still not sure of the offset?

Agreed. If it doesn't have a lip, forget it. :judge:

This trend of spokes going all the way out to the edge of the rim has to stop. :madsign3:

To me, it's all about the spokes. Five looks agressive to me. The width of the spoke makes a difference. But, if you want a certain look, sometimes you have to pony up the big money. For me, it's either gonna be HRE or Fikse. For comparison, look at the pic I posted, then compare to this:

Well, this isn't a wheel thread, but as long as we're talking about spokes and dish and lip and such...here are three nice and clean ones... :driving:

$8K!!!!!!!!!!! They are surely beautiful, but I wouldn't pay that much even if I was going to put them on a Bentley. BTW that logo in the center is a spitting image of the seal of the University of London.

You have to admit, those HRE’s are awesome wheels!!! Now I picture those on my black G8.

LOL...:gr_jest: But they would look sOOOO bad @ss on my G8! Just look at the Infiniti EX wheels, now picture them on your G8.

I saw a few sets on Ebay for half the cost, I just need to know the right offset?

I'm guessing you mean some HRE wheels on Ebay? Because Infiniti EX wheels won't work. If you plan to stay with factory width (8"), then you would need something close to a +48mm offset. Nothing higher, but could go as low as +40mm.

I was thinking of 20x8.5 front and 20x9.5 rear.

i wouldn't go bigger than 18s, but thats just me... i would rather have a wider rims and more meat than big wheels and no tire...

The fronts, I would still stay in the range of +40mm to +44mm. As for the rear, I would recommend something near to +50mm. This is based on information that is known about the GTO. The G8 has a little more room for wheels/tires, so this is just the baseline that I would use.

Sport package comes with 19's. I think 18's will look to small on this V8 powered boat.

Agree. It would be a shame to spend $8K for those wheels and wrack them up on some rough curb. A little more rubber works better.

I remember calling Fikse on those wheels for my GTO. That sexy jewelry was gonna set me back $3K. :eek2: On the other hand, the HREs had prices listed on their site. Their 18s were :quoties2:only:quoties2: gonna cost a little less than $2K. :banghead:

My buddies got a set of Fikse's on his 996 twin-turbo, nice wheels, but expensive!

I generally agree on the smaller rim size, but my GT has the 19", and they really look good on the car. They fit in the wells really nicely. I have the summer only performance tires, and they just suck the road unbelievably. They also haven't been bad in all the rain here in MO lately. No problems. The jury is out in bad winter weather, but my vote is to work from home next December! :boink:

To prove the first point, I stuck with 14" x 8" on my '72 Olds Cutlass w/ 400hp, with great results. :turbonaughtdy_1:
