I don't remember who, but someone brought up the question of how does the exhaust sound when DOD kicks in. Well being as I'm switching from graveyard shift to days and it's 5am and I couldn't sleep I decided I'd take the car for a quick 30 mile drive. Besides finding out that my MPG display was telling me that at 65mph I was getting 25.6mpg towards the end of my journey, I detected the sound people have been talking about when DOD kicks in.

Now I normally keep my radio volume at 14 so I've never heard or felt any indication that DOD had kicked in. So after I get under way and set my cruise at 65mph my usual slight exhaust "drone" if you will can be heard in the car, which is no where near obnoxious just slightly detectable. And when I get the H-pipe installed next week I feel pretty confident that what "drone" is present will be eliminated. But anywho my Stolen Fox exhaust didn't go from a hearty 6 liter 361hp rumble to that of a rice a roni weed eater exhaust, but you could tell a tone difference inside the cab with the radio and a/c off. And mind you until my little experiment to try and detect DOD I never noticed a difference with it. But to what it sounds like outside of the car?? I don't know cause I can't run 65mph ;) But all in all on the way home, I turned the air back on as well as turning godsmack back to volume 14 and still had the cruise set at 65mph and couldn't tell a difference.

All in all I am EXTREMELY pleased with Stolen Fox's axle back kit, and cannot wait to get my hands on the H-Pipe that should be here before the end of the week :yumyum:

And yea yea, I know.. I still owe some more video's of the car. I'll try and take some as well as getting some posted this afternoon.

the transition between v4 and v8 should be very quiet...that was the goal of GM :)
