I'm thinking of grabbing these with a 8mm spacer. What do you think?

Wheel spacers are okay for farm tractors but I would not use them on a high performance road vehicle. May even be illegal in some states. MOney will be better spent on proper offset wheels to fit. Tirerack.com should be about done measuring by now.

Yup http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/results.jsp?autoMake=Pontiac&autoModel=G8+GT&autoYear=2008&autoModClar=

152 different wheels in three sizes.

66 in 19" and 56 in 20" that's a lot of choices.

Okay, stand corrected, those wheels apparently have proper offset as they are the same as on tirerack. They require a centering adapter and lug adapters, make sure your price includes thaose items, and not using any discount to forum members tirerack might have for us. Still wouldn't offset them any additional as you will add extra load to your wheelbearings and other suspension parts, aswell as run risk of hitting wheelwells with tires on cornering under load and speed - or is this car for boulevaard cruising only.

One last thing, they're made in China, FWIW. (guess tehy all are, or INdonesia)

Thanks! They definitely have a lot of wheels to choose from. They list the same wheel that I was looking at. My concern is that my stock wheels are 19x8 +48mm and the wheels I want are 19x8 +40mm. I'm not sure how that's going to line up with the fenders.

Since you don't yet see a G8 on their web site, you can use this one.

I really don't think a +35 on an 8" wide rim would look right.

The link you posted shows a +40mm offset. Those will work. If you have a metric tape measure, you will see that 8mm is a little less than 1/3 of an inch.

a wheel spacer machined for your hubs wouldn't be bad... i had some made for my rx7 that were 1/2 inch thick...

Why does anyone think you would need a spacer for that wheel? A +40mm offset will cause the wheel to move 8mm towards the outside of the car. No spacer would be required.

I've used them on my drag car with no problems...I wouldn't worry about it. I've even seen them used on 7 sec. race cars.

Dude... You're so right and I'm an idiot. I had it bass-ackwards. Bringing the wheel out another 8mm would probably look good! Sweet!

The motegi is on the tirerack website. Those wheels will be fine. Look at the 20" install, 20x8.5 with a 40mm offset that g8er put on his G8. Like quoted above, thats less then a 1/3". The wheels that are on our cars supposedly have a 48mm offset and they are flat as you can get. I put motegi 18's on my daughters g6, great looking wheel, part of American Racing Inc. The chrome on hers wheels were really nice and balanced perfectly.
