I actually ended up going to the car show (last Thurs. of every month in the summer) at Hooter's Bensalem today. I live in the area and have attended a number of the shows over the years, but man, was it a BIG turnout tonight. So many nice cars... but I was the only G8 :)

A number of folks stopped by, just curious as to what, exactly, the car was - "is that a V8?", "that's not RWD is it?", and even a "that a G6?". All in all, nice show - the new SRT8 Challenger is really, REALLY, nice. About 4 Challenger's, 3 new Camaros, 3 GTO's, just a ton of cars there.

How about for next month's show, we represent the G8 a little better!

Sh*t! I wish I knew that... It's about 20 miles from my house. Maybe next month i'll go. So what time do they meet? Around here during the summer there's a group of people that get together in the Kmart parking lot and just bs. It's only classic cars though. They have a sign saying something like the cars must be 20 years or old and no foreign cars.

I'll definitely keep folks informed. Weather permitting, it's always the last Thursday of the month (next month it will be on July 30th). I don't know when the show "officially" begins; however, I can tell you that cars get there at or before 4pm, up to about 8pm or so. Most folks just hang around and chat, get some beverages, eat, etc. I didn't leave last night until about 10:15pm (went in and had some dinner).

The earlier the better, I showed up last night around 6pm and it was pretty packed, but I still managed a decent spot. Next month I'm going to try to get there around 5pm or so (you def can show up later, just run the risk of being in the way back), if possible, and if people are interested, I could suggest some places to meet up first so we can all roll in together. It's free to enter, and EVERYTHING enters - imports, Ferrari's, drag cars, American muscle, trucks, bikes, you name it, it's there. There even was a mobile dyno machine, $75 for 2 pulls is a little pricey, but you can't complain about the convenience :) .

Here's hoping to a better G8 showing next month :bubbrubb:
