Show up when you can, we should be there till 10-ish - or longer if things get interesting.

The Hooters that I selected for the first meet was due to the location being as central as I could find with a good parking lot and a nice amount of traffic. I figured a 30-45min drive for most would be fair. We actually had a Z06 with 500WHP and a classic car show up because they spotted something going on. If nothing else we can have it there again. The manager really wanted us to have it there again.

BTW - I live on the NE side of town in case you think I am biased ;)

There is a pretty big meet at the Hooters off I-45 and Nasa Rd 1 every Saturday. Might be a good place to bring some G8s to.

Sorry to thread jack but I'm also bringing some V6 tails with me in case somebody wanted to buy them (if they're not sold by then, $150). Also looking stock GXP exhaust in case somebody has a GXP and have already upgraded to an aftermarket exhaust. Need to give my V6 more sound. Also looking for a stock air box that no one is using anymore since so many have already upgraded to a CAI.

Yeah I would appreciate that airbox, look forward to taking that off your hands. Yeah just let me know about the tails, I'll have them with me in the trunk in case you want. Doesn't take long to install either, just three screws per light. Had to use pliers though to get the screw started because my ratchet wouldn't fit, but then I could twist them off with my fingers.

3rdHolden is looking for a pair but I already got my GT tails and he was looking for a trade and I need to sell these now.

Actually I might have a way to make us all happy... if 3rdHolden is still looking for a trade, He can take the v6 tails and I'd buy your GT tails (that you traded from him). give me a couple of days though, I'm working out my finances. Gotta have that dough!

No I don't no but if he's seriously talking about it I'll trade you, 3rdHolden, my V6 tails for you GT tails, then sell the GT tails to blackoutgt. That's not a problem. I need to recoup some of the money I spent on my GT Tails since I couldn't do the even trade. Still looking for a spare airbox from someone, still not sure if I'm going to cut it or not for my intake I put on. Works a lot better without the bottom part of the stock air box and I can feel it more. Guess the bottom stock air box restricts too much free flowing air. I was going to cut the extra stock box to make it fit the intake I put on to reduce heat. I've already driven 200+ miles and I'm still only on half a tank now. So I've gotten an increase in hp and my car is definitely faster. Also did the washer mod but instead of using washers between I used bolts (nuts if you will) and that way there's no rattle. I don't feel slower at all. Only 2 bolts per side were needed and it's definitely louder. Loud enough for me to not really want an exhaust anymore.

Saw a mess of modded vehicles and all was well but as with any large gathering of people without prior notification of the cops tends to make them nervous they dispersed the crowd. Thanks for everyone that showed up. We had 25 G8's attend this meet that covered the complete G8 color spectrum. It was a pleasure meeting all the G8 owners, and their ride.

Thanks for those that traveled 5+ hrs to attend. I believe we had one from Abilene, one from Illinois, and one from North Carolina. The last two were special circumstances ;)

This meet was awesome if you live in Texas you have to make it out, to this meet. Everyone was super cool and there was a good assortment of rides, with all kinds of mods. Some people decide to stay so we took some night shots, i think the next meet we should find a place with some better lighting IMO:D, this is the first time Chris had taking pics in the dark, so go easy on him, but some pretty good shot enjoy everyone:D
