So, I was having withdraws from my Avic-Z1 Head unit because of missing the NAV and my music collection, it allowed you to load a CD, it would then store the CD on the hard drive and you had all your music on one place, without having to load CD's.

Well, after reading the user's guide, I found out it supported MP3 files and multiple folders, also Playlist files. So, I created Folders with my artists names, and put my MP3 files (previously I ripped all of my CD's to my computer) on the CD in the folders, since it is a 6 disc CD changer, I was able to fit just about all the music I really care for on those CD's, I have 1 for Rock, 1 for Country, one for FAST driving. SO, if you guys haven't tried it yet, you CAN load your MP3 files on a CD, and it will pull over the tags as well, so you get song name, artist, and even Album info. The interface let's you browse folders and what not, and even do Random from a folder or the Whole CD, and remember you can make a playlist on your PC and it will follow that, so you don't even have to plug in your iPOD and worry with the wires.

You can usually fit about 200-250 songs on a CD in MP3 format, so with 6 CD's you should be set.

Sorry if everyone knew this, but until I can get a better head unit, it makes this one pretty nice, I can live with it now.

Have you tried to do "Random in Disc" and then go backwards in song selection? I burned an MP3 CD, and tried that, but it couldn't figure out how to go backwards. I wonder if that's a bug or just me. :)

Not sure exactly what you mean, but my CDs I burned with folders fo artist, then I put all the songs I liked from them in those folders (have like 20 folders on 1 CD) and then for example, I was listening to some good old AC/DC and then I decided I wanted Random, so I pressed "Random In Disc" and it immediantly started randomly playing out of all the differen folders, mine seemed to work perfectly.

Yeah...so that parts works. It randomly plays from the entire disc which was great. But I when I tried to go two or three songs back, it doesn't work. It only takes you back to the beginning of the song.

Oh, your saying in Random mode, it doesn't let you back up songs? or your saying if your listening in normal mode, you can't backup a few songs, Mine seemed to have me backup to the folder menu, then I had to go back under the folder for the song I wanted. Still better then my other stock stereo that would only play CD audio

Yeah...in random mode, I can't seem to backup songs. I haven't tried with normal CDs yet, but with the 1 MP3 CD I made, it didn't work. Wasn't sure if I was the only one.

I've never had a player while set on random be able to back up (or play the songs it has previsouly played). Guess since everything is random, it doesn't keep memory on that.

Maybe it should select random files when backing up also:)
