I was on Summit Racings website, looked up the G8 and found this.

"Get maximum performance out of your fuel with the Fitch Fuel Catalyst.
The Fitch Fuel Catalyst transforms gasoline and diesel into a superior quality fuel. Get more performance out of your engines for less--less money, less pollution, and less maintenance headaches. The Fitch Fuel Catalyst is permanent fuel treatment device that reformulates fuel, resuscitates partially oxidized fuel, and suppresses the growth of bacteria in fuel. Fitch Fuel Catalysts ensure that all fuel delivered to combustion engines is in optimal condition, allowing the engines to extract the maximum amount of energy with minimal emissions per kg of fuel. Once fuel has been refined, it sits in a holding tank, is pumped into transport vehicles, is shipped worldwide, sits in the holding tank at a gas station, and then you purchase it. That fuel refined as 93 octane has substantially lost its potency and freshness. The Fitch Fuel Catalyst helps return gas station grade gasoline or diesel back to its refinery-fresh state, for increased fuel economy and performance. Fitch Fuel Catalysts offer a better quality of fuel, which translates into better engine performance. The Fitch Fuel Catalysts are maintenance-free devices that are warranted for 250,000 miles. The Fitch Fuel Catalyst can easily be installed in the fuel line, much like a fuel filter, or directly into the fuel tank."

Looks good to me, any thoughts?

hhhhmmmmmmmmmm..... there are alot of things out there like that right now.... personally I believe that you should never add anyhing to your gas. but im no expert.

I wouldn't do this, just curious on what people thought. I've never heard of such a thing.

Only thing I want to do is new induction and exhaust

Some of what they say about fuel is true. However teh ability to treat all full passing through thyis gadget for 150,00 miles (life of your car?) is highly doubtful. Today's gasoline is basically crap, full of contaminants and able to turn into varnish faster than notorious fuels of yore. There are reasons that GM, BMW and others call for Top Tier fuel in your vehicle. Gasoline will not develop bacteria like diesel, but will dissolve rubber and plastic from within fuel system and plug up fuel rails, acting and looking much like carbon. Chryco tanks are teh worst. What a modern vehicles needs is an inline replacable fuel filter between the tank pump and the injector pump. No GM car since about 1995 has had such a filter. In carburetor days we changed fuel filters sometimes every oil change (when they were mounted in the carb base). Buy one bad batch of gas and you may rethink additives. But forget about catalyzing or ionizing the fuel molecules.

I went from 87 to 89 and can tell a difference in my 01 Town Car. The engine responds faster and is actually a bit more quiet on the Hwy.

Sounds like a bunch of marketing spin! It's probably a form of alcohol or petroleum distillate like every other fuel "additive" on the parts store shelf. Look on the can under ingredients.

They advertise this thing on the Powerblock on Spike Sat/Sun. I have to laugh.

The best fuel additive to help performance is to regularly change your fuel filter! Although, if these are like the GTO, you don't have an external line filter to change. It's all inside the tank in the fuel pump bucket.

I'd argue that the best additive to help performance is good-quality, fresh fuel!

Seafoam brand fuel treatment has saved me a lot of money and time in the past. It's known well for it's magical powers... It doesn't add power or claim to, but it DOES clean schitt up!

They just installed this on a truck on the Speed channel's Truck U show. Said it works!
