Mike (MidlifeG8) told me about this one, and actually took me down there tonight to see it. At Milam Mazda they have a used '09 G8 GT that they are selling for $34,999! When pressed, the salesman said it had the "V" package :huh:that included a rattle can blackened grill surrounds, 20" mid level painted wheels with General tires:barf:, exhaust tips, and supposedly lowered suspension :rolleyes:(which we couldn't ID as everything looked stock) and the trunk lid was debadged and had a Holden "V" badge on the right side. Mike said they once even told him it was supercharged, but no S/C is evident and it has the stock engine cover, which would make it kind of hard to squeeze the S/C under:sneaky:. When I told the salesman there was no such option as the "V" Package, he said I didn't know what I was talking about,:gr_jest: and I should stop "talk'n trash" about the car! :fawkdance: I told him he should know what he was selling, before he started talking bull****! :bs: That got us kicked off the sales lot!:ohsnap1: It was fun though! :laugh: Some salesmen out there are really dumbasses!:damnyou:

It sounds like someone traded in their car and duped them into thinking it was a one-of-a-kind G8, so now they are asking top dollar for it. And you're right, most car salesmen don't know what they are talking about!

Crap gets all confusing with dealers when a Mustang has been modified and made a mutt too ... all kinds of stories.

It's astonishing sometimes the lack of 'car guy no duh knowledge' salesmen have and it's truely just a get-me-by gig rather than having any passion for the product.

When I took delivery of my GXP I had to wait for another salesmen to come in to go over the systems since mine knew nothing.

haha, this is a great story! pitiful! Reminds me of an ad i saw on ebay once for a "G8 GTr" which just had a little red r next to the GT. I'm assuming it was the ricer edition GT since it had a nasty looking wing spoiler and terrible wheels.

Dealerships really dont know much about our cars in general. I went to get a CASE relearn done once and when the tech came in an asked why i needed to get it, i told him its because i got headers (which is a lie, its because i got the vms tune) and he believed me. I'd never let the dealership near me work on my engine :)

Did I tell you about the car manager that showed me paperwork that showed my G8 has Bluetooth installed? Oh I know that's an old story...

That night was a fun and funny night. If any of you want to have some fun with the sales man it a great dealership to go "huh?" at. This actual car is the one that my wife saw and let me buy my G8 but at a substantially reduced price and NEW not use.

Go have fun.. Ask about the "V package" play along with them see how much BS they can toss at ya
