Seriously. For a fair deal I'm willing to drive just about anywhere in the country. Too many jerk dealerships out there wanting full MSRP. If the car was that hot, they'd all be gone already. Reply to the thread or message me and we can talk. Thanks!

Speaking as someone who is not affiliated with any dealer, and is taking delivery of my GXP tomorrow, MSRP is about as good as you will probably get on a manual GXP, if you want 0% financing. The exception would be if you are a GM employee and get that GM discount (I was even allowed to use my GM Supplier discount for friends), or if you pay cash or finance on your own. These dealers aren't dumb. The ones who have 6M cars are being very stingy because they can be. I have been anxiously watching the inventory plummet since May, and soon they will all be gone. If you really want one as badly as I did, and you want 0% for 72 months, you should be happy to pay just MSRP. The closest car to my house has a $3,000 ADM on it, solely because it is a "rare manual transmission GXP" (which it is). Just my two cents. Good luck to you, if you get a better deal than MSRP.

There's quite a few slightly used 6M GXP's in the Chicago on cars.com are for around $36K. Check your area and you might find some there too.

I'll have a Liquid Red one here by next week if this dealer wants to trade still. We will be giving them one of the last brand new (non demo) GT sunroof/sport/premium white hot's in the Chicagoland area. Had plenty of guys calling on it and we told all of them we want another one back with the same options or a GXP. Someone bit on the GXP for the trade.

Car can be had for MSRP minus rebates/dealer cash or special APR.

try dobbs pontiac in Memphis TN, they have a silver/black with out sunroof. I bet they will probably come off msrp by at least a grand. Just picked up my base GT there for under $25K.

Thanks for the tip, just emailed them. Their site shows the car you're talking about.

Kitahara in Fresno has three...
They want at least a 3k mark up...
And don't have your local dealer try to call for a dealer trade, they tell dealers they are out of stock that they were all bought for the Firehawk package.

AND they elected NOT to participate in the GM incentives as you can see...

Best news yet...

Didn't realize it but my employer is actually a GM supplier. Therefore I get the supplier discount. So MAX I pay is ~$1k LESS than MSRP.

$3k over sticker? Hah!!! Makes me want to buy a car from a dealer who is gouging (yes, a penny over MSRP is gouging in my book) just to force them to make a sale for less than MSRP which is what they should be charging anyway.

Exactly. Like Smokey saw and I saw with most dealers around. At least I'm guaranteed a reasonable starting point w/ the supplier discount code even in the case with dealers who are less than friendly.

Ironically the dealer closest to me has been pretty straight forward so far. They have to trade to find the car though. Did get to finally actually DRIVE one though. Pretty nice, now just need to get my wife behind the wheel.

Hmm, I wonder if the "Bentley" dealer (hehe) is putting $36k because of $40k sticker (approx) minus $4k in rebates. I wonder what the best auto loan rate I could get would be if not the 0% (by taking the rebate instead).

Why wouldn't one want to participate in a program? It is like shooting yourself in the foot mutliple times because every person you say "no" to will tell everyone they know how unreasonable you are.
