I bought an Amsoil dry filter for my Roto Fab. It seems as if the whole thing must be uninstalled to change the filter.

There is no room in the box that contains the filter to remove it by just loosening the clamp.

This CAI was installed by the dealer before I bought the car and I do not have any installation instructions for it.

Is there anything that I should be aware of if I dismantle this thing to change filters? I know that I don't have to change it now as I have very few miles on it, but I would like to swap the filters anyway.

Thanks for any instructions on how to do this swap.

Thanks Shane. That is what I would expect, but after a quick glance yesterday it looked real tight in there. Obviously it can be done, so I will have at it today.

I changed the filter today. The crack team at the dealer that installed this had the screw on the clamp in the 7 o'clock position. Impossible to get a wrench or screw driver on it. I was able to rotate the filter so I could loosen the clamp.

It is a little tight, but not too difficult to change the filters. I really like having the dry filter on there, and it looks great.

I was looking at a Roto-Fab CAI and I wanted to use a dry air filter. I have a friend that swears by AEM filters. Anyone know the dimensions or maybe the part number for AEM Dryflow air filters?

Is that the DRY filter?

Seems like its the same one that I already have.

I did some checking on line and the S&B filters are very good.

I just worry about the Mass Air and Oil issue that can arise.
