It should be in tomorrow, and I am very excited for it to come. My brother who has the Ford Lightning with intake, cats, pulley, etc. and also has great knowledge on this kind of stuff is telling me that intakes don't really do anything in terms of the power of your car. What do the G8 owners think I should expect from this addition..all thoughts and comments are appreciated. Thank you

it's the butt dyno. Although I found with previous cars that open-element intakes really like the cold weather, and I did notice slightly quicker throttle response when accelerating in the winter.

You should expect better throttle response. The engine responds quicker to WOT (Wide Open Throttle). You should also see improvements in MPG. I have seen better MPG when I'm not mashing the throttle to the floor. There will also be a deep growl from the engine during acceleration. I have had mine for a few months and love it. And the customer support from Kevin and Mike is awesome. Install time is about 20-30 minutes and the install manual is very detailed.

1) Deeper, nicer sound
2) "Crisper" throttle response, often that improves with speed

The latter isn't necessarily huge, but the more you drive it the more you often notice it, and combined with a custom tune optimized to the intake (such as my Vector tune specific to the Roto-Fab), it's definitely more noticeable and runs better overall.

At the core you're just opening up the air inlet more and giving it a lot more open surface area at the end, so it's not as if boosted, but typically it sounds throatier and feels crisper. Having had 3 different CAI's and tunes for 2 of them, I could always tell after removing one and going back to stock...throttle and overall feel just felt duller. So, yeah, it's a noticeable thing. Of my experience, albeit on an L76, the Roto-Fab was the best in every way and most noticeable--the tune, admittedly, helping, but the intake doing the most itself.
