I'm experimenting with some overlays on my center caps.
Let me know what you think. brutal or not. :)

that looks good....
what i dont like (not just yours) but all the 19's...
are the black center cap.... i think it would look better if it was the same color as the rim...
do you think you could do something about that?
Thanks

I'm not sure. I think the compound curves would make it difficult for vinyl. I don't care for that cap either, which is why I'm trying to come up with something to change it a little.

well if the vinyl isnt too thick you could possibly use a heat gun/hairdryer to wrap it...
where do you get the vinyl?
thanks

Ray, your overlays look good. I have, however, agree with SOcali on changing up the black center caps some how.

I hate those caps also, I plan on painting mine once I have time in a month or so...

I got the overlays from a member on G6Performance. I can get you her contact info if you want. I don't want to come off as advertising for her.

Has anyone come up with something to change out the center caps on these wheels or lug nut covers?

Painted mine with silver metallic paint. I also have a chrome lug nut and lock set on order.

does the center cap come off easily to be painted? or did you paint it on the wheel?

Yes they come off pretty easily. Gently pry from one side with a flat screwdriver and it will pop off. Then the pontiac symbol centers come off of the cap from behind. They are held on with four plactic tabs that can be pushed out with a small flat screwdriver. Pretty simple, just be gentle so you don't scratch the wheel or break the plastic tabs.
I used 600 grit paper, spray plastic primer, and rustoleum silver metallic spray paint.
