Has anyone seen one on a G8? I've had two people tell me know that they saw stock G8's with a Holden style wing. Is it an accessory/ option? They weren't "M" plates either...

Yea, I'm looking forward to seeing it too! I want one. I remember seeing pictures of some pre-production G8's with Holden spoilers on them, & they looked good.

If you look in the March Issue of Automobile magazine, there is a fold out "poster" style ad for the G8. It shows a Panther Black G8 GT on the banked turn on a rack track, and it has the stand up Holden type rear wing. I came across it while at the dentist office. Fortunately for me, the fold out was perforated so I tore it our and it now hangs on the wall in my office!

I see nothing wrong with how that looks.
IMO having the taller deck spoiler helps balances out the overall look of the car.

I agree with LS2GTO, I like the looks of the spoiler. I feel that the back of my G8 really needs the spoiler. Next question...when and where can I get one for my car???

I got "the call" today being delivered friday.. ok so this is the order Im in. 3rd to get the car 2nd to get the spoiler and 1st to get rims. not bad eh, I owe it all to my " gimme gimme gimme" attitude. YOU ARE FREAKING KILLING ME!!!! I keep thinking I am done and then I see this stuff and now I HAVE to spend more. :eek2:

On the front end do you have to get a replacement hood to get the front bumper? I really want the front bumper. If you don't mind me asking what is that running?

Parts are going to cost me close to 2k for the front conversion but I have to wait almost two months on shipping because it goes by sea. I am getting a new front hood but I think you can just chop and repaint the Pontiac one to get the front aligned properly.

Well, looks like that will have to wait for a bit. Kind of sucks because that is the one thing I am not a fan on the G8 is the pontiac grill. Oh well, I guess a wing and some performance mods will have to do for now.

Having the holes patched up shouldn't deter you from having a nice spoiler on your G8. Besides a competent body shop should be able to make it look right.

Those look like the same spoiler. The SSV spoiler should have black legs and underside.
I have average sized hands and cannot get an enclosed vertical fist between the spoiler and the trunk on a SV6..................I can on the 2 tone spoiler without touching either.

If you like black legs and underside you can paint it black

The entire lid would be repainted.

You are correct with the 2 tone for the SS / SS-V rear spoiler and Holden only now offer the smaller SV6 spoiler, but JHP only paint single color to help keep the final cost affordable for the SS-V. There is always the option to paint the under side black or purchase the spoiler primmed ready for paint and then let a paint shop color match & 2 tone the spoiler. The cost for the SS-V spoiler painted & shipped is $640 .

I wish there was a way to have the SV6 bolt right into existing holes without having to go to a body shop and get your trunk repainted and filled and all that. kinda sucks lol

This is the curent spoiler I have on my GP. It black on bottom and carbon fiber on top. I really love it, and I also have the Carbon fiber Inferno hood, unpainted of course.

The Senator spoiler is damn nice looking. It's subtle and looks far better than G8's. Too bad it's so pricey!
