My harmonic balancer seems to wobble back and forth about an eighth of an inch at idle. The idle isn't rough and there's no noise, so I doubt this really an issue. Just curious if anyone else has this same symptom?

Yeah, my dad (2001 Vette) said that it's very common with these motors.

The stock balancer tolerance is a joke . We will be working wiht Powerbond real soon on the 25% underdrive which will not just make more power , it will spin truer as well .

I dont know too much about underdrives besides the fact the they spin faster and have less rotating mass...

My question is how would it affect belt drivin accessories like alt., power steering, and ac compresor?

I know that this is an old topic but I just got my G8 a few weeks ago and my balancer does this. Anyone have any problems leaving it or did anyone replace it with another stock one?

I had the same problem took it to dealer and they got my a new balancer and some other things but my car still has a horrible squeakin noise which i think is from another pulley
