: OK, So Who Got Pulled Over?
Seattle09GT 07-10-2009, 06:41 PM Yup, only 38K G8s in North America and I trucked by one pulled over by Washington's finest.
So, who was stopped by the Washington State Patrol around 5:40 PM on I-5 at the I-5/I-405 Interchange in Lynnwood, Washington. Appeared to be a Pacific Slate G8 and was pulled over by the HOV lane.
Fess up!!!
grandmacpubah 07-10-2009, 10:43 PM wasn't me!!! but I darn well could have been last night :driving:
Seattle09GT 07-11-2009, 01:14 AM Well isn't that interesting. Another Pacific Slate G8 in the house apparently in Snohomish Country.
MissNaySimon 07-11-2009, 10:47 AM Wasn't me. :P I was at home playing dress-up with Brandon's girlfriend. LOL
08G8V8 07-11-2009, 01:28 PM I'd say it was probably the Penguin.
Ender 07-11-2009, 01:39 PM Wasnt me
MissNaySimon 07-12-2009, 11:19 AM i'd say it was probably the penguin.
only if it had 6 tailpipes!!
Christiancoach 07-12-2009, 03:08 PM 1 2 3 Not it!
mikemaj82 07-12-2009, 03:16 PM Haven't been pulled over in my G8 yet, but apparently my insurance company wants to put 2 points on my record for something I did 3 years ago in my G6. They said they just got around to filing the offense.

Statue of limitations is almost up most likely (depending on the state). Stall them as long as you can. Once the statue of limitations kicks in, they won't be able to file.
DHMOTORSPORTS08 07-13-2009, 03:54 AM lol i thought for a second someone saw me pulled over today. twice! I dont think they have anything better to do. one for driving on the shoulder to see why traffic was backed up so far on hwy 2. $124 ticket for sitting on the shoulder lookin ahead. lol yeah its a joke. I'm taking that to court. second for doing nothing just driving down a hill in brier no ticket just wanted to check to see that it was my car.
BobtheMonkee 07-13-2009, 10:07 AM lol Dave, you are just full of bad luck

The headline in the Herald newspaper today is that Snohomish county has hired a deputy prosecutor who's sole responsibility is to handle traffic violations. The county had such a high rate of tickets being beat they decided to hire someone full time to cut that number dramatically. The article mentioned that the move was aimed at habitual and wealthy traffic offenders who hire attorneys.
Note to self: SLOW DOWN!

grandmacpubah 07-13-2009, 02:24 PM you can't even sneeze without seeing a cop in snohomish county...it's just insane. They are fricking everywhere!

And they probably have SCMODs. ;) *

BobtheMonkee 07-13-2009, 03:20 PM /me is slapping his knees!
not many cops in kitsap...i get away with quite a bit of asshattery...most of which is how loud my family sedan is
Christiancoach 07-13-2009, 04:05 PM you can't even sneeze without seeing a cop in snohomish county...it's just insane. They are fricking everywhere!
I agree! You don't dare speed between 145th and Everett, the cops are everywhere!
Seattle09GT 07-13-2009, 04:08 PM I know that where I saw the G8 pulled over at the north end I-5/I-405 interchange is one of the top ten speed traps in Washington state. They are ALWAYS there looking for speeders, aggressive drivers, and HOV violators.
I don't go over 66 MPH from Northgate to past Marysville - you're just painting a big target on yourself if you do.
grandmacpubah 07-13-2009, 05:52 PM I honestly think when I was pulled over in seattle (I work on aurora) I was profiled. I don't think if I had done the same thing in Bellevue you'd get pulled over. Drive a nice/fast car in certain parts of seattle and they think you're some punk kid with drugs in your car.

I have zero tickets. :) Thanks, Kitsap County!
DHMOTORSPORTS08 07-15-2009, 05:07 PM lol Dave, you are just full of bad luck
hey its not my fault they profile me because my car is really blacked out. ive been called a drug dealer by many cops and kids because of the look. Its not right that cops profile but they do. thats one reason my next car will not be black. No! im not a drug dealer and no i do not use drugs. But when im free i sometimes drink a beer or two. but i will never drink and drive. haha anyone want to hit up the bars!

I use to drive a C36 (and than a C43) both Black with all window at %20... I was barley 20 and every time I got pulled over they would wait for another cop to approach my car?? They ALWAYS had their guns drawn or their hand on them. I use to think it was kinda funny....
DHMOTORSPORTS08 07-15-2009, 07:30 PM thats so true they always wait for backup to come and hands on the gun or even drawn. they have searched my car twice because i look suspicous
DHMOTORSPORTS08 07-27-2009, 05:48 PM so I got pulled over again! I was heading down to oregon for a business meeting. I was around tacoma at around 6am. when a state patrol pulled me over. He first followed me for 2 miles then pulled off the freeway thinking i would speed off once he took the off ramp but i didnt so he headed straight back onto the freeway and pulled me over. He came up to me and said i look suspicious and that he is recording everything to make sure i dont do anything stupid. lol really! so he starts asking me questions like where am i going and said well i think your tint looks a little to dark and pulls out a reader showing 6% on my window. instead of giving me my first warning or a fix a ticket like most cops do he gives me a regular $124 ticket and says deal with it. I cant believe cops these days. This is the first time they have said anything about my tint. Maybe i have a pull me over sticker on my bumper.
grandmacpubah 07-27-2009, 05:58 PM dude wtf? That is just so wrong...I can't believe they can just pull you over for no reason, other than you "look" suspicious? wow talk about profiling.
AliG8tr 07-27-2009, 06:11 PM The motorcycle cops that hide out around The Keg on Alderwood Mall Pkwy are getting seriously sneaky! I saw one a few days ago that was hiding behind a parked car. I could barely see his hand holding out his radar. I don't go more than 2 over on that road because those guys are getting dirty!

You do realize the economy is in the ****er, and cities/counties/states are looking at all sources of revenue to bolster their shrinking tax bases? If you look like you are doing something wrong, or fit a profile that they are looking for, your odds are a lot higher in these days than say, a couple of years ago, that you will get pulled over. Sad, but true. Gotta watch out for the man all the time!:wink2::pir_flag:
Tylerb59 07-27-2009, 07:15 PM Any photos of your car, Dave?

But, I must say that we are cracking down on window tint too. Zero Tolerance, ticket every time.
Christiancoach 07-28-2009, 04:59 PM That is one good looking spoiler!
BobtheMonkee 07-28-2009, 04:59 PM why...whats so bad about having dark tint? just another way to generate revenue in this suffering economy?

thanks! it looks really good in person the pictures arent the best coming from a cell phone but it works i guess.
DHMOTORSPORTS08 07-28-2009, 05:17 PM lol Brandon we just had this talk about tint the other day. I didn't realize you worked at Boeing. That makes I think 4 of us with a PBM, at Boeing Everett! Except I drive my truck to work, and I don't get front row inside parking.
I put one of the cards Brandon made up on the windshield of one in the parking lot last week. I have not seen any new members joining the PNW section. Guess he doesn't do the forum thing.

There are a couple of reasons, first if you were being held at gunpoint in you own car, we would not be able to see to help you.
We can't see inside of your car when we pull you over, we don't know if you are pointing a gun at us, hiding somthing in the car etc,
And of course, the saftey issue of trying to drive at night on country roads with black windows.

DHMOTORSPORTS08 07-29-2009, 04:56 PM Ok but when i get pulled over i roll down all my window so they can see me so it doesnt explain why they still need to if im not hiding anything and they can see me just fine with them down.

No, it was a GT. So there is a GXP onsite too? Wow. At least everyone has good taste in color!
DHMOTORSPORTS08 07-30-2009, 04:04 PM The owner of the gxp is from the renton plant but right now he is up here for training. He parks outside the gates next to the paint hangers. its a auto.

DHMOTORSPORTS08 07-30-2009, 04:13 PM Lol i think you just answered your own question. Usually when a color is most commonly produced its one of the best looking colors. I love your red but you cant say no to a black car. they just look great! Plus black is aways faster. hahaha time for another mod?

Oh I like a nice black car! Don't get me wrong! I just don't like having to wash it every other day to keep it looking good! I had an '04 black Bonneville GXP before the G8! My life is so much more complete with all the extra time I have now!

I have washed my car once since the Lynnwood get together. I do wipe it down with detail spray though, but that is quick and easy.

Come on Jeff, fess up! You forgot to mention you only take it out of the garage when the weather is perfect, and it goes right back in when your drive is over! I wouldn't be surprised to learn you have an exhaust fan in your garage to suck out all the dust and impurities!:rofl::rofl:

Which, with the weather we've had this summer, has been quite a bit! I do not drive it to work though. I've got my truck to get the door dings and get me around in the ugly weather.
