I have a White Hot GXP with 2100 miles on it and just discovered I have an issue with my exhaust tips. 3 of them are correct but the inner tip on the drivers side is a GT tip. The GXP tips are 3" but this one is 2.75".

I went to the dealer lot last eveing and verified the problem. The GXP in stock has 3" tips all around. I am going in tomorrow to notify them of the problem.

I'll keep everyone posted on the outcome. I'll try to get a photo uploaded tomorrow for all to see. Once I discovered the smaller tip, it bugs the heck out of me.

Check your GXP's. You may have the same issue.

So 3 are GXP tips and 1 GT tip?!

Sounds like the factory muffler guys just came back from the bar when they made your muffler!!

How does that even happen? The GT tips share an outlet from the muffler, while GXP tips have dedicated outlets from the muffler.

Here is a photo of the tips in question. Drivers side inner tip... smaller diameter. Off to the dealer around 10:00.

Wow, don't know how that happened but I laughed when I saw that. Definitely one of a kind.

Also, nice plate haha.

Just got back from the dealer. They all had a good laugh. Bottom line... they ordered a new muffler for me. Heaven only knows when it will arrive. Hope this episode brought a couple of smiles out there. Drive safely!

I am sure they will have to turn it in when they install the new one. They have no idea how long it will take to get another muffler. Glad it is not a drivability issue...

Obviously, the supplier of the muffler messed up when they built that set. Not too hard to figure out. Definitely a one of a kind though. :)

I think it looks cool offset like that. Only if the other one were the same. Kinda like the Porsche's quad exhaust.

Amazing... I figured I was not the only one. Is it the drivers side inner tip??? The dealer will replace the muffler under warranty but heaven only knows how long we will have to wait for the replacement.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Is the tip also different as far as the inside flare. Thats the big diff between the GT and the GXP tips is the inside flare, the GXP has a larger one. And of course the diameter.

The driver's side inner tip is a single wall tip and is 2.75" in diameter. All three other tips are dual wall (flared) and are 3" in diameter. All GT's that I researched on dealer lots have the smaller tips as I described. Sure looks FUNKY on a GXP!

:err: I had to go check my GXP as soon as I saw this post...

...I've got four identical tips. No one better be stealing one!

Wow, so crazy... curious as to how that even happens, I mean, I can picture some guy fabbing the exhaust and grabbing the wrong tip. But you mean to tell me no one ever stepped behind the car and thought, "Hmmmm, something is wrong here..."? At least you're getting it fixed!

Just got the muffler replaced yesterday. Took some time but it looks fantastic. I was thinking of replacing both mufflers before but not now. Drive safely!
