I have never seen this discussed, nor on any of my past cars, but on the G8 6.5" screen radio, the bass and treble settings are independent for each source, ie FM, AM, CD and all can have different settings to fine tune what you are listening too.

I noticed that after setting the bass and treble on the CD mode, FM sounded flat, so I went to the audio settings for that and found they were at zero, so I adjusted those, then went to CD and found them different, then to AM and those were still flat.

Anyway, just wanted you to know that you have to set them in each source mode (I know it is probably in the manual, but how many of us read it for radio operation).

I can set different bass/trebble for each FM or AM station preset on my current ride as well, 04 DTS, is it the same on the G8?

The 6 CD changer AM/FM/XM stereo in my 05 Grand Prix does this as well.

And if I'm reading my manual right each of the flip key maintains it's own settings.
