I just bought my G8 V6 and i want to make an intake upgrade but i had a few questions since im not an expert on the subject.
1. Can you use an intake made for the v8 on a v6?
2. Can the Pontiac G8 Use intakes made for the Holden or Vauxhill?
and does anyone have links to any of the sites for aftermarket support?
3. For those of you getting new intakes, what brands will you seek?
which brands are the best in performance, sound, price, etc etc
4. Will using an aftermarket intake void my warranty?

Sorac, congrats on getting your car. But silly question, if you wanted more power, why not just get the V8 instead of trying to mod your V6 ?

This is really the only CAI I have seen so far.

Not sure about if Holden or Vauxhill's stuff will work and have no idea if the CAI will on a V6 as well. I would contact Mike@newera about that.
As far as your warranty it obviously will void the warranty on the part you have replaced. It can also void the warranty of other parts if they are broken as a result of something you replaced that is not OEM. So if for some reason your CAI sucks something up into the motor, they will most likely deny the claim. But, if you have a CAI and your radio stops working they can not deny that claim. Well, on second thought I guess they could try but that's not how it works. I would just keep your old intake and swap them out for dealer visits just to be on the safe side. It only takes a few minutes.

cuz an intake is a very cheap and easy upgrade
