Weather.com says 40% chance of rain & 80F at 5 p.m. today at Milan. With new tune & CAI I'm itchin' to go as posted elsewhere but will definitely call ahead before going tonight. Did you mean tonight, or somewhere else?

dline, I just re-read your post & noticed the reference to this weekend. And the forecast is better, showing ten degrees cooler Friday night than last night (Wednesday), plus less chance of rain although still 20% ... here:

So -- I plan to check the weather radar around 6 pm Friday, give Milan a call, then head out there if all looks good. Probably arrive around 7:15 or so. Not considering Saturday or Sunday because when I called two days ago, Milan said they have a full schedule of activities Saturday and Sunday & won't have much time for T&T. Jet cars Saturday, for example. Plus it costs $40 for Saturday or Sunday, compared to $25 for Friday night -- with more runs!

Are you up for Friday night?

if your going to milan tomorrow night, you should plan on getting there around 4pm

Why? Too many cars? I prefer to wait til later for cooler temps & whatever time I go will depend on weather. But if it gets super-crowded after 7 I'll try to do as you suggest.

look at their schedule for friday night, 4pm time trials, 7:30pm race, i'd assume alot of the test and tune is before 7:30

OK -- thanks. I called, was told the "racing" scheduled for 7:30 does eliminate cars, but later they bring back test & tune and work that in too. Maybe around 8:30 or 9.

Not sure when I'm going, but probably arrive either before 5 or after 8. That way I avoid heavy traffic since I must cross thru all of Detroit, or suburbs for that matter, to get there from Harrison Twp.

Are you going?

Just checked weather; zero chance of rain at Milan til 8 pm, then 15%, then zero again by 9 onward. Temp 72 now, below 70 starting at 7. So I'm heading out now. But I'd love to meet up with you at Lapeer ... maybe tomorrow or another time. Will post more when I get back tonight.

Wow -- thanks for the pic, dline! I talked to your friend out there, then stuck around long enough for photographer Mike Yoksich to find me. So I bought a print of what you posted. Mike said it could be found at the Milan website, so I'm guessing that's what you did. As inept as I am with some online stuff, I probably would't even have attempted to post it myself ... so thanks! A bunch! VMS tune & CAI lopped a half second off my quarter mile time -- well worth the $700. Me very happy despite the change of heart by Bob Lutz!

Are you heading for Lapeer today? I was thinking about it but something important just came up re my g/f's drive up from FL, so gotta go. I'll check back here later if I can ... thanks again!

Half a second off your quarter, so what did you run?

+1

Also, Dline did you run at Lapeer?

Half a second off your quarter, so what did you run?

13.48 at 103.2 mph was my first and best run, with tranny in sport mode. Before that, stock, my best was 13.99. Crummy (stock) 18" all season Goodyears.

Both days, as with two prior Audis, all later runs were slower, due to heat soak I think. Couldn't break below 13.6 again yesterday. Deleting traction control did not help.

And you?

dline, is that track wet or just shiny when dry? How did the day go (times etc.)?

I almost made it there Sunday but then it rained.
