I was born here but even I know there are some kooks in this town. Most of those kooks drive trucks of course. I have never seen anything like this older (80's-90's) diesel ford that came screaming along side me. He was having alittle run with a dodge truck near BW-8 and 45-S. This Ford had what I can only describe as a coffee can style exhaust on an already massive pipe. It was just the oddest looking thing I've seen recently. I'm just cruising back to my brother's house to drop him off when he looks over at me and says "you just gonna sit there and take that". (bastard knows how to push my buttons, btw this is no kill story just humorous)

So I look it over and see it's reasonably clear, I shift it into sport and catch up to the truck and pass him rather easily. The Ford didn't appreciate this and tries to catch up to me and all I see behind me is a bellowing cloud of smoke as I'm guessing that Ford has it floored. I always took trucks as a way to get from A to B while hauling lots of stuff. That's how I treated my last 2 trucks.

I've seen some 11 sec diesels at the track. Most are low 14 high 13 trucks thou.

I lost my first race to a Dodge3500 crew cab diesel. Jumped me so far off the line I had to call him long distance...never did catch up. At the traps I was so far behind I got to read his time...12.09....Sumbitch!
