I was looking at the pictures over on autoblog and noticed that the flares in the new Opel/Aura picture look suspiciously similar to the new G8. Any thoughts?

Nope not Zeta. Just like that article states they will be on Epsilon II, basically the same as what they are based on now with some updates. That platform is FWD/AWD capable.

edit ... ^^ He is right, Aura is a FWD machine and will not be Zeta compatible.

Sigma (CTS) is RWD/AWD. No reason Epsilon II migt not be FWD/AWD. Future option has been hinted.

The comparable look probably due to some shared design elements between Opel and Holden. Holden has had Astras in OZ to sell so it would be easy to transfer image from what teh designer sees every day in the parking lot.
