why get rid of the pontiac badge and leave the g8 gt???

I like how you arranged the "G8" and the "GT" I personally think the "PONTIAC" letters are a little much. too messy with them.

I also think the OEM arrangement is messy But I haven't decided what to do with mine yet. Yours is pretty good but I am not totally wild about it. Usually I strip everything but I think this car would look naked without anything back there.

I really like the G8 GT on one side. It looks weird having GT on the left and G8 on the right.

Did you have to use new adhesive to replace the G8 GT?

Yes - I took the lettering off using a piece of fishing line, and then removed the adhesive from both the body and the emblem (goof-off adhesive remover works if your fingers get tired).

Any decent auto parts store will have 'trim tape' - it is double-sided foam tape that I trimmed to fit with an exacto-knife.

If you are going to do it, just DO it all. At least thats what I plan to do, for the rear at least.

The "Pontiac" gone, it looks stupid and cluttered.
The "Arrow" stays, looks naked without it.
The "GT" and "G8" one or both may stay, one or both may go, I haven't decided yet. If any stay it would probably be just the "G8" in the factory position.

I plan on ditching the chicklet GM badges, gone is the Pontiac letters, and I like the G8 GT reorder. I agree with leaving the rear arrow.

I removed the "pontiac" by just twisting the letters in a circle. Tape and everything came off with no residue left behind.

I like the G8 GT on the one side, but I do miss the pontiac arrow. i think that should go back, but thats my opionion. Put the pontiac emblem under the hood or something

I am with you 100% on that one. I noticed the same thing. I was pretty disappointed when I saw that.

Yea I dont like it when ppl take everything off the car and just make is a "black" car coming down the road or whatever color your car is.

I agree taking the pontiac wording off is good idea, but the arrow's should stay

I dont know but I too will strip mine off. I will leave the pontiac crest but the letters will come off..

I took the rear one off and would remove the front one if I could. I also pulled the Pontiac letters and GM bugs off the sides. I guess since I'm not brand loyal it doesn't bother me. I just want it to look a bit different/ cleaner.
