I have about 1200 miles on the motor (V8), and now I'm starting to hear a small tick. has anybody else experience this?

sounds like lifters doing their job?

Fuel injectors? They click on and off and are more noticeable on some engines.

This happened on my GTP when I installed headers. Sounds like injectors to me.

I think it is something specific to the 6.0 liter engine. My 2004 2500HD with Vortec 6000 had the same lifter tick as my G8 GT, but my 2000 and 2005 1500's w/Vortec 5300 did not.

that doesn't sound like there's anything wrong. i think its fuel injecters also. Sounds like your engine is broken in!

Injectors. On my Ram it sounds like little lightning strikes - noticeable inside the vehicle at idle.
