I am like a kid at Christmas time. I forgot how much work it was to set up a forum - but its the greatest experience on the net/in the industry. We are enthusiasts thirsting for knowledge. I admit, I posting something a week early than I should have - but in my defense it was darkened out and did not show really anything that we havn't seen on the ABC sneak preview or from looking at the commodore.

So, here we are again. I guess I am back on the hunt ;) LS1GTO.com always had the first scoop even on the little things and we are off to the same great start for the G8.

FYI guys .... (for the few that found us before the link is up). I have the G8 banner and things ready to go but since the artwork is being lightened up and thrown around the net I am going to wait until very early Wednesday night.

I really wish people didnt take the image, lighten it up, and spread it around. It brings the wrong attention.

I am so freaking excited. What a car.

DY, I'm also excited to be a part of this. Wifey is looking for a replacement for her '04 GA GT and the new G8 is right at the top of the list. I have no doubt this will be the #1 G8 board simply based on your previous accomplishments as an admin/webmaster. Thanks for all that you do in making a true auto enthusiast feel right at home.

The GTO has a strong following despite lower than expected sales, I assume the G8 will have at least as much if not bigger following in the years to come...enjoy our Commodore! :)

It occurred to me that this will be one of the few RWD, V8-powered, four door sedans with a manual transmission out there, aside from the BMW 550i and the Cadillac CTS-V, and they are twice the price of the G8.

HI Guys,

Another Aussie here. Its great to see you guys are finally going to get to play with the commodore/G8. This can only be good for all of us down under as I've no doubt the aftermarket for this car will increase ten fold as a result.

I was one of the many Aussies who followed the progress of the GTO and loved reading all the post filled with your anticipation and excitement while waiting for the early cars to be delivered. Ofcourse this was followed by the SEG's of all the new owners once the finally arrived!

I look forward to following the process once again as you receive your G8's.

Hopefully we can get some more of the satellite photos of the ships sending over the first boatloads!

As some of you know me GMH GTO from ls1gto forum? I lived in Australia from 1996-2001, I saw the unveiling of the VT commodore, at the time I knew this car was something special, its the 21st century idea of the '57 chevrolet, IMHO. Currently I reside in Chicago IL.

I can NOT wait for this car. saw a picture of the front end (not the abc special or the lightened up version, but similiar) and I am so freaking excited. It's time to win the lottery, pay off the goat and get me a G8 :D

Its not the solctice front. IMO, Its part VE comodore, part Woodward GTO. Very sexy.

Well as much as I want one It looks as if it will be a year or two unless I divorce the wife ( ummmmmmm never mind) Glad to see its up and running Jon. I am also glad I was able to get in on the ground floor. I'm quite sure this site will do as well as your GTO site. Congrats on a job well done.

We are going to the New York Auto show in April just to see this car. The wifew needs a new car & the Goat needs a driveway buddy to keep it warm on these cold nights.

Thank you DY for doing this. With GM moving strong at the Detroit show and now Chicago, I bet we will see this Zeta car in a year....beating the Camaro to the punch by maybe as much as 12 months since Oshawa will take time to retool. I went to a Pontiac dealer today and noticed that their product line is suffering. Saturn has all new stuff like the Aura, Chevy has the coming Malibu which looks great, so Pontiac really needs this now. Watch for the G8 on the fastrack!!
