On Tuesday afternoon I saw a White Hot G8 on Gallimore Dairy Rd in Greensboro.

Actually prompted me to go over to the local Pontiac dealership yesterday afternoon to check out what they had in stock.

I saw a red G8GT with the sport and premium packages with the red seat inserts. It was on the lot in Jacksonville, NC on Wednesday. It was still there on Thursday afternoon. A few hours after that, I'm pretty sure I saw the same exact car in my garage. :)

Yay!!! Finally got my G8!!! And there was much rejoicing.

Had a menage-a-trois today in the Target parking lot in Wilson with a Midnight Blue GTO and a Black G8. I also saw, probably the same G8, in the Merrell Lynch parking lot on Airport Rd.

Spotted a liquid red on Saturday around 1:30 on Hwy 264 heading Eastbound, about 1 mile from 440.

I saw a Liquid Red on Highway 52 and a Panther Black exactly like mine on Peter's Creek Parkway (all Winston-Salem, NC). Two weeks ago and haven't seen them since.

Looked like it had a Delaware 30day tag on it. Followed on 264 to I440 in Raleigh.

Saw an MGM at RDU last night while picking up my son. First one i've seen around here!

I saw a Red GT going north on 52 in the Winston-Salem area, and a Black GT on highway 150 - also in the Winston-Salem area. And, finally, I saw a Black GT in my garage in the - yep - Winston-Salem area. I have not seen either of the other folk's cars since, so I assume they don't live around here.

We should have a get together around the mountains one weekend. Head to deals gap or the parkway, or any number of fun roads around here.

OK, I stink at directions and such...I took the kids out one day in early spring tooling around the Pilot Mtn. area. I got off 52 near the state park and followed some road that went between the hills. Curves and hairpins - awesome road. Trouble is, I was in our Yukon XL - not exactly a car you want on curvy mountain roads! I was VERY frustratedly waiting for my G8 to arrive!!!
Now I got the car and don't remember exactly where that road is and haven't had a chance to get back up there to find it...
I'll head up there tomorrow (Saturday) and see if I can't find that road...My son loves the car and my wife loves to get us out of the house!

Saw my first Sport Red '09 in the Mecklenburg County Courthouse parking deck this morning. Had 19s and the sunroof. Definitely a beautiful car with a lucky owner.

Spotted a couple of PBMs running around Wilmington last weekend and one on Friday afternoon at Wrightsville Beach.

Ran up on a White Hot GT debaged with only a V badge this morning on I77 N around 6:15AM around exit 7 or 8. As soon as I caught up, he was changing lanes fast to exit.

yeah the Hendrick on Autopark Cary... traded my 2002 Lexus GS300 towards the used 08 G8 GT Red one with no leather seats... but planning to add leather seats / heated seats to the car soon.

LR 08' GT in K-ville. Bought it on 10\28. Looking to do a CAI, Rotot Fab Radiator Cover and Engine Covers Painted LR to match. Like to get a download. Been reading about VMS, but see others, don't know what to do. Any good tuners around anybody know about? Willing to travel to Charlotte or Raleigh if needed. By the way. Mine came off the showroom floor at Flow. 14 miles. The 08' on the lot was the one I took home for the weekend. Had some rust on the tail pipe tips as well as scuffs on the interior door panels. Exterior had some scuffs that would probably buff out. Ask for $$ off.

Things are looking up! Met up with WWG8 and his avatar (and his red G8) in Greensboro today to show off the exhaust and on the way home spotted another red and an MGM on the way home. Both were on 40W within 5 minutes of each other. most I have seen on the road in one day!

I was on I-40W between Raleigh and Greensboro at about 9:00 am. Was also on I-40 E at about 4:30 going back to Raleigh.

I live in Greenville NC and have a 09 G8GT Pacific Slate 19's. So far only has 1400 miles on it and loving it move everyday!! I don't think I have even seen any other Pacific Slate G8's around.

Spotted a Liquid Red GT today coming out of the Greensboro area heading East on I-40. I was heading west on I-40, I didn't have time to wave, but we noticed each other for sure.

I was on my way to lunch moments ago when I met an identical panther black G8 on Davis Dr. (RTP- Keystone). Myself and the other guy exchanged e-mails and plan to keep in touch.

I don't know about anyone else, but I've had my G8 for 3 months and have only seen two on the road. It's kind of cool and scary at the same time to have a rare new model car.

I've seen a ton of G6s though, it's kind of funny how I notice them more now that I own a G8.

I saw a Hot White GT today around 5:30 on I-540 as I was exiting off to Hwy. 70 we acknowledged one another that was cool.

I've saw a Liquid Red at the Hospital in Rutherford College and there's another red one up near Hudson. Saw a white one at O'Charley's in Hickory (with Rooster Bush emblem) about two months ago. So, I'm not surprised that you'll be the only one in Morganton.

First Saturday of each month Char Gril on Atlantic Ave. has a cruise-in. It's basically for classic American cars but there are usually many different makes and models. I haven't been to one this year but last year I did a few and met a few other GTO-Monaro owners there.

Saw a silver G8GT and a white G8 GXP at Ocean Isle Beach this weekend. I think the silver car is owned by the guy who owns the GPS Store between Ocean Isle and Sunset Beach. I was riding my bike past it about three weeks ago and saw a detailing company cleaning it. I saw it again this weekend driving out of OIB.

The white GXP this weekend was in front of the ABC store at OIB.

I see some of you live in the Hickory area. I lived in the Hickory area for the past year (bought my PBM GT-Prem. w/ red seat inserts from Everett Chev/GM/Pont in Hickory) and only saw one or 2 other G8's in Hickory, most of which were just sedans.

However, the wife and I just moved to Lincolnton and within a month's time I've already spotted a Burnt Orange (not sure if GT or sedan car), a Silver GT owned by someone close to my wife's workplace, and another PBM just this AM. All three cars were driven by women when spotted.

Ryan in Hickory, I'd like to meet up with you sometime and get a listen to your exhaust set up. I've got a Flowmaster 40 series on mine and I'm still curious to hear the Corsa setup. I'm also getting ready to install the Vararam on mine. PM me if you're able to meet up, Ryan.

Yesterday I saw two G8s and a GTO (Extremely rare day for sure. The first G8 was a black V6 that was heading west on I-40 in Greensboro. The second was a red G8 GT with a non-stock spoiler on the back heading south on I-85 just south of Greensboro and 1 to 2 miles behind it heading the same direction was a red GTO.

I work at Replacements, so if your in the area and see a blue G8 GT that's more than likely me.

I was curious if you worked at Replacements as I made that turn many times when I worked there from 1994-1996 in the IT department. Was getting pretty tired at this point so I figure why not step on the gas pretty heavy going down the on ramp and hit some pretty fast moving traffic. At this point I'm passing people however from the on ramp speed and move to center lane pretty quick. Look to my left and out of total shock I'm side by side with a Silver G8 GXP ... So at this point give him a friendly wave and followed each other passed Raleigh, he got off 40 into Garner. All in all though after that run in that definitely made my trip much more enjoyable. Other than one other instance with a Dodge Challenger R/T on the toll road in WV.

I actually saw another Black G8 (GT I think-went by too quick) Monday afternoon on Sunset Lake Rd. in Holly Springs. I was going N they were going S. Then on the way home, saw a 200x GTO as well.

I saw a silver GXP last week coming down hwy 55 toward Cary. We hit it from a stop light and let off at about 65 pretty much dead even (the headers, CAI and tune do make a difference!)

Have only seen one other G8 in Greensboro and it was from Va. out W.Wendover. He never saw me I don't think cause I flashed lights and waved as he got off at Friendly Ave.:driving:

I was on 1010 today between 3:15 and 4pm or so close to the Apex side. I also saw a white G8 on 55 just north of Apex at 5:35pm today...

Yesterday, I saw a Stryker Blue G8 on the Durham Freeway around 5:15pm. We were both heading North.

Sorry I didn't note where and when but I saw four G8's today around the Apex/Cary area! One red, one white with tinting and two silver.

This morning around 8:30am I saw a PBM on West Chapel Hill St in Durham. The car had 19'' but I don't know whether it was a base G8 or GT because I only saw the front (I assume it was a GT). I gave him a wave and he threw one back.

Today around 11:45am I saw a Red G8 GT on Davis Dr. in RTP. He was three car lengths ahead so I couldn't acknowledge him.

Midnight Grey in Wilson today in front of Lowes.

This past Saturday was a beautiful day for a drive here in south Charlotte. Spotted a IOM w/black rims exiting I77S at Carowinds, and PSM traveling down Gold Hill road towards Tega Cay. First time I've seen a IOM in person....bet it was the first time they have seen the Stealth in person also, lol.

Took my son and his Subie to Costco in Raleigh Saturday to replace the battery. Tightened the last bolt, closed the hood and lo and behold, not 30 feet away, is a MGM GT backing out of it's parking spot! Don't know how the heck I missed it when we walked up. I just stood there pointing at it with a stupid look on my face (more so than normal :) )

Got on the Clayton bypass around 4:15 heading up to 40 and the beltline taking Junior to Karate and within 10 minutes passed a Silver, SRM or PBM (sun in my eyes, couldn't see the color well), and a white all heading southbound.

Just saw a White Hot GT pulling out from the Roasted Oven area behind the Fort Mill Ford dealership. I know they saw/heard me :)

I've followed this for quite a while. I was one of the first people to get my G8 in the Winston-Salem area back in 2008 - I started pestering the dealership in October 2007!! - and the closest I've seen was one Greensboro meet that I couldn't make it to.

I don't know if you guys get these phones calls or not. But yesterday I received a call "I just saw another G8". It was reported to me that a debadged Liquid Red G8 was going down I-85 and got off on the Alamance Church Rd exit (very close to where I live) at around 6:00 PM yesterday. They think it had aftermarket rims and it had GT/GXP tails, so it may have been a GT.

Saw a Liquid Red G8 GT 440, maybe GXP wheels, got off around SE Cary Parkway exit I think.

I'm honestly shocked if I didn't see you, I normally throw my hand up at any passing G8 however rare it is. Lately though I have been in deep thought while driving...damn job off-shoring will make you do that!

Okay, thanks for info and I know what you mean about not knowing fellow workers having worked at Lorillard when there was close to 2500 total at one time and doing the Reserve police with the city there were alot of officer's that I did not know, now I don't know hardly anyone up there same with Lorillard:driving:

Boy I just seeing red these days. Guy with a red 5.7 liter GTO stopped beside me at a light and gave me the thumbs up. I waved back at him.

Then around 5:00 PM I passed a liquid red G8 going west on I-40 while I was going east on I-40 (around the death valley area). A guy was driving with a lady in the passenger seat.

Coming home from Wilksboro today driving my White Hot Gt. Saw another White Hot Gt sitting in Seafood rest. in Yadkinville . Was that anyone on here? I usually eat there going up to Wilksboro if taking daughter home. Good food but I still like Harbor Inn in Burlington the best.

I was down at Topsail Island this weekend and saw a Sport Red with tints on 17 heading north around Hampstead and a PBM with tints on the road that runs through Mt. Olive. Those were the only ones I saw all weekend in NC and VA combined. Saw more Camaro's tbh.

Saw a LR GXP at the Iron thunder saloon in Concord sunday after the Zmax race and then a black GT on speedway blvd when I was leaving.

Spotted and intercepted a Silver GXP. I was going to the Gym after work and a Silver GXP caught my eye filling up at an Exxon gas station. Pulled in beside him and introduced myself. The guy's name was Ethan and was from Durham, NC. I asked him if he was on any boards and he told me he was on this one, but not very often.

I'm usually at that Chick-Fillet every other Wed heading to Greensboro. Have to keep my eyes open.

Went up to Wilkesboro Saturday and I only saw one other G8 it was a MGM traveling West on I-40 just as it splits between Bussiness 40 and the bypass.
Must have been a good gas mileage day filled up before leaving Wilkesboro and the Average Speed was 70.7 and the mileage was 27.3 in the Sport Mode. That I the best that it has ever done has a little over 11000 miles. Will get a good test next weekend going to Myrtle Beach for long weekend.

When I was a Reserve officer here alot of the other officers called me Sneaky Snake. I worked with the Tactical Div.a bunch and some Vice. Those were the day when you could have fun doing Police work.

I talked with the guy who drives the white one while we were working an indoor marijuana grow last August. I told him about the site, he was kinda like "eh, cool". Really though, outside of work they can't drive it so to them it's just a work vehicle.

Was cruising around town yesterday and saw a MSM GXP pull into the Best Buy parking lot off of Capital near I-540. My car is stock with the 19" Sport package (MSM color as well) but he had what looked to be chromed Camaro wheels and a shark fin antenna and it looked really nice. Made me think mine looked pretty boring in the wheel department. I'm usually not into chrome wheels but they looked great on the silver car.

Are you sure they weren't stock GXP rims?? They are chrome and look pretty good with Stryker Blue :wink2:

Definitley not stock GXP rims. These were more of a 5-spoke design like the GT 19" but did not look aftermarket. They looked to me like chromed 2010 Camaro SS wheels.

Cool, before buying the GXP rims for my car I was considering getting the stock rims chromed. There's a company on ebay that exhanges the stock GT rims for chromed ones and I was really considered that. The G8s have plenty of chrome on them and I've felt it's either a fight it or go with it situation. Some people aren't a big fan of chrome, but chrome rims looks pretty good on these cars.

Yup, that was me. Had to run out to Sears/Panara/Total Wine yesterday. Also the Camaro rims are polished not chrome. Although they aren't as polished and bright as the stock GXP rims.

Saw 3 G8's...running on I-95 south yesterday on our way back from GA...One Silver, One Black and One Red...all between mile marker 81 and 93...nice to finally see some! Only saw one going down last Wednesday...Black one heading East on 74/76 near Wilmington....saw NOT a one in GA but me...lol!

Red GT in Youngsville around 12pm today.

Saw a Black G8 GT in the parking lot of the Alamance Crossing Theater in Burlington, NC yesterday (Friday). It was stock looking and the time was around 2:30 PM.

Black GT in Clayton near downtown a couple days ago. I think it's the same one I see at the Lowes at 40/42 on occasion.

It seems like there is a lot of G8s in the Durham/Raleigh area.. well mainly RTP for the ones that I saw. I saw one yesterday pulling out of where I work on davis drive in RTP.. I think it was a MGM GT. And one today.. a red gt at an Arbys on 54. A lot more common then where I am from up north.

I think this is true; there does seem to be quite a few in the RTP area. By the way I saw a silver GT near SAS in Cary Thursday afternoon.

MGM w/sharkfin antenna downtown Charlotte on Friday. Yeah, that was me turning into the bus station and getting flagged down about 5 cops telling me I shouldn't be turning in there. Also was told by some crazy looking crackhead dude that I had a "fly ass car man!! What is that a 2010!"

Also, a Silver V6 at the Ruby Tuesdays near Concord Mills on Friday.

And a Stryker blue GT with V6 rims at Hendrick Motorsports behind the engine shop.

This has to be the mother of all G8 sightings at least for me. The wife and I had part of the afternoon on Tuesday and decided to go for a ride. Went through Lilington, Spring Lake, up to Sanford and back on US1. I saw not 1, or 2, or 3, but 6 G8's on that ride!

I think I have to declare Spout Spings (I think that's what it said on the GPS) as the G8 capital of NC or something. In that general area we saw 4 of the 6. We stopped there to get something to drink at the Taco Bell. Saw an MSM GT pulling out of the shopping center while we were in line, but by that time we had already seen 3 others. First was what looked like a LR Firehawk edition but I suppose it could have just had the look, not sure didn't catch a good look at it as it was going pretty fast the other way on 87/24. Also saw a PBM GT, and a LR V6. Then saw a SRM (think it was a V6) on 55 at the US1 interchange in Apex, and then a PBM GT in Holly Springs on the way home at the Harris Teeter.

By far my largest random G8 sighting ever. I have to think that at least 1 or 2 of them are members here.

Seen a LR G8 in North Myrtle on July 5th. I see a PSM in Rural Hall on the regular but do not think he is on the forum.

It was a little past the intersection of hopson and davis.. the 600s buildings. It could have been a PBM too.. just didn't get that great of a look.

MGM GT sitting outside my room at the Cavalier Motel at the Outer Banks...tinted windows, and chrome side view mirrors. Anybody?

I was on N. Tryon this afternoon. Don't know many street names but i was out and about around that time today.

Saw a LR GXP at Lockwood and 419 in Oviedo today around lunch time. Also saw a PBM GT on Red Bug Lake Road at 7:30pm.

Stryker Blue with HIDS in Louisburg around 12pm.

I saw a MSM GXP coming out of a complex on Chin Page Rd just off Miami Blvd on Monday in Durham.
