Greetings! i haven't posted much as I was a lurker until now... I finally picked up my new G8 last Tuesday night!!!


Anywho, on to my question... I've been looking on the Holden sight and they have what they call the "V International series" car... Which is the calais for export to other countries basically... Anyway, What I want is the V emblem that they use...

My last name starts with V and I want to make my G8 a GT-V car! :yumyum: Now, I know I can get the Caddy V series emblems but I kind of really like the Holden emblem better with the Red accents as it will match better with my plans for the car.

Can someone guide me as to where I can get one of these? or possibly 3 of them?

I think Cadillac uses much the same badge on their V-series cars. You can always get a V badge from a CTS or STS owner.

I can see where this is going. Someone is going to debadge their G8 and rebadge it as a Holden. That Lion would look nice on the trunk lid. And I do like the name Commodore.

It'd really screw up any parkng tickets. You could always argue that the ticket was wrong, Holdens aren't sold here (under their own name ;-) )

I appreciate your help but those aren't quite what I'm looking for...

What I'm looking for is a particular emblem/badge that is a "V" very similar to the Caddy CTS-V emblem.

So, Here's what I've done so far... I just sent an e-mail to Hunter Holden to see if they can help me... I've tried JHP, GMmotorsport.com and I even tried asking my sis-n-law who lives over in Australia to help me and so far nothing.

I hope Hunter can come through for me!

Ah, I see, that's not your car, just a Commodore picture. Boy I like the look of those wheels, with the slightly more chromed up G8 side windows and those Commodore V8 badges on the side of a black G8...perfect. Just the look to park next to a MB or BMW and have THEM drool!

Check ebay. There's a guy that is selling the 6.0 Liter V8 badges ... 2 for $58 USD (including shipping). It was $80 Aussie dollars, but conversions are going our way.

Can I get just three of the v8 badges instead of two v8's and the lion? Don't care for the lion but would like to put a V8 on each fender and one on the trunk.

Strange isn't it? The currency rate is up 20% yet the prices have drastically dropped.

On the pre AFM 6.0 litre the badges were fitted on the guards behind the wheel arch. AFM models have that badge fitted in its place
