I just got off the phone with Rocksand Racing and they are getting the parts together to do a Track II suspension update on my GT. This will include:
GSR struts and shocks.
40mm drop springs.
New mounts and bearings.
Bushings for the differential, sub-frame, radius arm, toe link, control arms, trailing arm, etc.
Aadjustable HD sway bar kit.
Rack and Pinion Mount.

I will be photographing the install and will set up a photo album so any and all of you can link to it and see what is involved. I'll also be providing my driving impressions.

Not sure yet when the parts will be delivered but I will keep you posted along the way.

We have made many changes to our G8 systems, due to our testing here in the states, and evaluations. Some areas we are beefing up, other areas, we will leave alone.

The Pedders web site is not the absolute most current in terms of our systems, but is getting close. I have submited to Pete and the guys what I think is our 3rd revision. sorry for any confusion that this may casue. However, it is directly related to our goal of perfection, and offering all of you the best product that can be installed

Sorry, but tht does mean you will be Pedderfile. After several years, one of the requirements will be a permenant branding of the Pedders bull on one of your cheeks. The best part of it,however, is that you get to choose which cheek!!!..:boink:

I am soooo looking forward to it. from every first hand account i've read, it sounds great. I've got my 93 octane Vector ECM tune and TCM, Roto-Fab CAI and soon the Track II. This should make for one really fun, responsive car.

Changing springs will do several things: drop the G8, and increase spring rates. The G8 sits really high and has a large amount of body role due to it.

Bump stops are plastic/rubber components to reduce or help control full jounce (compression) movement of the suspension.

the strut bearings and the strut bushes are the same parts as the GTO. When dissassembling the front strut, no matter how careful you are, these bearings have a tendency to fly apart, thus scattering 50 or so small bearings all over the place.

I'm getting the Street II package, with the rear springs from the Track II. I want the lower drop in the rear, but I am going to upgrade to Track II later if I like this.

That is great. Everybody that has had Pedders installed seems to love it. One area I'm concerned about is the drop because of my driveway. I had a GP GTP with eibachs and unless I came in real slow and deliberate, the airdam, I had and aftermarket unit, would slightly rub.

So, you were originally getting the 2954 and 2957 springs but are now getting the 2954 and 2955 springs, right.

There is always the need to be more aware of your sorroundings when lowering a vehicle.

You are correct on the spring part numbers. I think we'll be the 1st non sponsors to have Pedders on our G8's.
Theres going to be a learning curve to a lowered car. Take it slow at 1st.

This will be my 3rd lowered car so, hopefuly, I won't bung it up much. I just hope i can get it into my garage. From the lowered numbers I've seen i should be OK.
