I love the way this car looks and while i was showing it to my cousin i looked at the front then it hit me....were do you put your front plates? Is there a spot for front plates? If not is it illegal to not have front plates in New York? These may all be really stupid questions but i couldn't help but wonder.

I dont know about NY, but you can get a ticket for it in Houston. I have not had a front plate since 1997! I cant stand front plates they are so freakin ugly! I got pulled over once for no front plate, but he gave my a warning. Only the loser cops will give you a ticket for that crap. Personally, I'll keep risking it. :)

oh god. I live in a small town with our own police and precinct. If you liter they will arrest you. I've gotten speeding tickets for going 33 in a 30. They are every were and when there is a real emergency, they call the Nassau county cops!

Stupid Answer... It comes with a front plate mounting bracket in the trunk, even in states like Florida, where you don't use front plates. So... if the dealer hasn't put it on, it's up to you!

Front plates are mandatory in Missouri, but I'm holding off on the G8. I have it in the trunk and plan to tell anyone who stops me that the dealer didn't want to drill holes in the front bumper and is looking for a better way to mount it. Usually if you aren't doing something to attract attention, no one will bother you. What they really don't like are people running "split tags" on two different cars.
