I just got home last night from picking this up. 08 GT 15k miles loaded except sunroof. Has onyx/red leather interior. I am a body guy so to fix it will be just short of $2000 in parts. I paid $11,800 for it cash. Wife wanted one and it was the only one i could find that "needed some work"

Yep i get parts at cost plus i have found some used parts like a headlight for $50, wheel and tire for $150, and a steering wheel airbag for $350. I also went with the GXP fascia instead of the original and was able to get all the related parts (fog light bezels, lower grill and insert) in a couple days on a spac order.
So my parts make up is as follows:
Headlight $50 (used)
Wheel/Tire $150 (used)
Fascia 116.42
insert 43.04
lower grill 41.44
LH fog bezel 12.59
RH fog bezel 12.59
Hood 494.46
fender 204.33
Steering wheel airbag $350 (used)
Airbag ECM reset $46
Core support 165.40
left upper kidney grille 41.45
Total so far $1727.72
Things still needed
Passenger seat airbag ??? (hunting for a used one)
Sew up seat seam from airbag <$50
Things i was able to do myself that didnt cost out of pocket
3 hours frame time, included 1.5 hours setup/measure and 1.5 hours to straighten upper outer apron and straighten bumper mounting flange on LH frame rail
Straighten bumper reinforcement
paint ( i have my own mixing bank)

ok your time is not really free so how much in labor would you say ? if you include your labor and parts and you are at or under half price then you did good other wise I think I would have bought a used one from the auction my dad used to do auto body never had more then half the car value in the car I drove them for 3 yrs sold them got all our money back heehehehehehehhehehehehehehehe that is the way to do it being in that line of work you should have a new car for your self every two years or so clean title or salvage title ?

Didn't happen to get a spare alternator did you? Been waiting on one for weeks, still waiting. Anyway, good job and like was said earlier, a G8 buy is a good buy! Enjoy!
