I have a problem with the radio reception. While driving I lose reception of a common radio station, the radio becomes stat-icy and I can hear buzzing of the engine noise over the radio.
Went to the dealer on Saturday they have no idea of what to do and they will be calling GM during the week to find out what to do. I have the radio on distant setting and auto setting and it is still the same result.

Possibly a bad ground for the antenna or radio. Hopefully, it will be something simple.

I will see what happens when I talk to the dealer

My radio isn't that bad, but it is definiately not up to par with other vehicles I've owned.

my g8 and GTO both get crappy radio reception. I use my iPod 99% of the time anyways, though.

Maybe it's just your geographical area. :D My GTO gets great reception.

I live in one of the largest radio markets in the US...Dallas/Fort Worth. Who knows. Like I mentioned earlier, thankfully Apple came through!

Mine does the same. It's awful if you listen to any talk radio. That's when you can really hear the static and popping.

I listen to the radio every day and have never had an issue with reception. In fact, one of the stations I listen to is 90 miles away and not a powerful signal.

My G8 gets terrible reception as well. Stations I used to be able to listen to in Cincinnati (about 45 miles away) are now not even available when "seeking".
This, combined with my radio not giving me an "FM-2" drives me crazy.

Maybe it is something with the DFW area :P

If you mean a second set of FM station buttons it's there...just hit "band" again.

Did you change your FM sensitivity? The reception is really good for me. Sometimes I will switch from local to distance if im traveling a distance.

I always thought that the sensitivity has to do with "scanning" for stations and what stations it will stop at when scanning. I didn't think it had anything to do with actual reception.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

On the GTO it would improve the clarity of stronger stations.
