: Stock Exhaust - Modification neelnug 04-14-2008, 12:14 PM Has anyone looked into modifying the stock mufflers so they are a LITTLE BIT louder then stock. I have seen axle back and cat back systems on here already but all are far too loud for what I want. I would much rather make a small modification to the stock muffler so it sounds somewhere in between stock G8 and GTO. I was at a stoplight once, with the engine idling, and I hear someone yelling....it's the guy in the car behind me hollering, "Your bike's too loud!" :D His wife was pulling on his arm trying to make him shut up. (GTO sounds great but is too loud for me now) Replacing your resonator with a H-pipe or X-pipe should give you the very small increase in sound volume you seek. The "H" or "X" will give it a nice refined tone as well... S.F. neelnug 04-15-2008, 11:17 AM Thats the answer I was looking for.
