Does anyone have a recomendation for a good Pontiac service department in the Twin Cities? I have had about all I can take with Lupient in Golden Valley and have had poor experience with Brookdale Pontiac. I'm not asking for much - just somewhere that is honest, honors the fact that if you have an appointment they get you in at that time, and if they say they have the part in stock they really do have it in stock. It's been the same story as far as Chevrolet dealers go for my husbands truck - both Luther and Main Motors have given us a tough time. I only go to the dealer for warrenty issues because I have a good shop that I go to for everything else.

I don't usually go to the dealer unless I have to, but Walser in Bloomington was ok.

I purchased mine from Brookdale Luther. Very pleased with service and how they treat me so far. Been in a few times for random things. They even said I was totally cool with having a tune, intake and exhaust and not voiding my warranty.

I'm having good luck with Walser in Roseville. Although the part I needed is on national backorder, they have been keeping me up to date and were very timely with inspecting and taking care of the car.

Main Motors has usually been good for me in the past but doesn't matter cause they didn't make the cut and are closing.

I bought my G8 at Saxon in Elk River and they have been really easy to work with getting my control arms replaced. Unfortunately they did not make the cut either and I'll have to find someplace new once they go down.

I have to get my control arms replaced, too. I am waiting for the part. I have never experienced anything like this going wrong in other cars I've had. How many miles did you have when yours went? They said I will need to wait 2-3 weeks to get the part in. Drivable, but noise is annoying.

Around 23,000 miles.

All the dealerships are saying 2-3 weeks, but if you read in the suspension forum, the part is on national backorder and could be up to 6 months. I'm on week 4 of waiting now.

The noise is very annoying, my front end is actually starting to get worse too. At around 60mph around turns is begins to shake/pull. Not something I want to happen with my 18 month old daughter in the car.

I'm going to call them soon and see what the status is.

Mine first started making noise at about 11,000 miles. Brought it in and they said the front ball joints were bad (there is a front and rear at each front wheel). I waited 2 weeks and the parts came in. They replaced the fronts and told me the rears needed to go also. 2 more weeks and they replaced the rears so they said. Everything was fine. 1,000 miles later the noise came back. Turned out they only replaced one rear the last time. 2 more weeks and the other part came in and has been replaced. That was 2 weeks ago so we'll see.......I'm at 16,xxx miles now.

When my radiator started leaking I took it to Lupient Golden Valley. Walked in, and immediately walked out. I don't know what it was but I just didn't feel comfortable there. Anyway, I took it to Walser Roseville and the service was great! Took about two weeks to get a new radiator in (not there fault) but great communication none the less.

Now I just have to figure out if they're mod friendly:)

While I was up there I ordered a cargo mat for the trunk. I highly recommend.

I've heard a lot of good things about Walser in Roseville. After my current issue is resolved I am going to give them a try. The only reason I've continued to go to Lupient is that is it less than a mile from my husbands work so it's easy to drop it off.

Got my car back Friday from Walser Roseville after waiting for my parts to come in.

Service was great. Got a rental car and it only took a few hours to get the car done! The car feels so much better now!

Definetly recommend Walser Roseville.

On a side note about mods, they never once mentioned anything I had done to my car. In fact, the service guy I was dealing with said he was planning on buying a GXP this winter.
