The G8/Commodore is new to these shores but I've seen a few nice stripe kits on some of the Holden's SSV and other Holden models.
Both the G8 and SSV are basically the exact same platform but shares a different hood and bumper.

Does JHP or anyone know if the Holden's SSV stripe kit is close enough to modify if necessary to put on a G8?

Those are the numbers that were given on www.gmaccessorieszone.com (http://www.gmaccessorieszone.com) (a GM website) under Pontiac G8.

Look for yourself. It is somewhat strange though because before I actaully had my car I was looking around the site and I swear they had pricing listed where as they don't now.

The US stripe package is apparently different from Holden's Rally Stripes. Jalopnik had pictures of it up quite awhile ago.

Yes I'm aware that JHP can get them but my concern is will the Commodore rally stripe kit work on the G8 hood since that's really the only variation between both models. Those stripe kits aren't cheap to purchase and I'd like some type of confirmation that the Holdens hood stripes might be able to work on the G8 hood.

If the grilles on the G8's hood were functional then I wouldn't have a problem with them but they aren't! IMO they look like a cheap add on and don't look right on the car if Pontiac was trying to mirror the BMW 5 series. :whine:

The GM accessory stripe kit is not like what is shown on the Holdens. It's pretty ugly. When I got the car, the dealer had just got in a catalog showing the accessories, including the strip kit.

I agree, they don't look that bad and you won't see a kit like that on any other car.

I'd have to the body shop cut them off at the scoops and paint the scoop surrounds black to match. That would probably look best.

I've seen the american on an Orange one and it looks alot better then the Aussie one. Sorry guys but you show the stipes and you don't have the hood scoops in the picture. When you add the scoops it looks alot better. It also doesn't have the extra stripe around the big stripe. If I can get a picture I will post.:driving:
