I seriously doubt there would be any fitment issues here. I mean what are the odds that GM changed the exhaust system on the car from what Holden sells? 0 I'm thinking.

It's a 2.5" catback.

They are telling you their list price. Based on that posting on Ebay you should be able to find a dealer that can do better.

i really want to get the xforce....i herd the strait pipe mod and it sound a little to ricer to me maybe it was the angle for the camera and the sound quality but that just me.....but the xforce sound allot like a 350z

The straight pipe video is a little misleading. Bern is also using the washer mod there. So in effect, there is no exhaust on the car. I asked him what it sounded like without the washer mod and he said there was no difference from stock. But he did notice an increase in the intake sound from his rotofab CAI. This leads me to believe that the exhaust is flowing better which leads to more air flow through the whole system.

Personally, I'm thinking about replacing the resonators/mid muffler with an x-pipe instead of straight pipes. Then I'm just left to figure out what axlebacks to put on. I have a good exhaust shop to work with and they'll help me tune it.

yeah i was thinking about that application too.......but what axel back i mean i imagine i can take any G8 V8 axel back and weld them to fit but will the 2 1/2" pipe matter on back pressure or air flow?

Hey guys, go read my thread on the magna flow if you haven't already.

The stock system on the car is 2 1/4" and they bumped it up to a 2.5" with a X pipe and a pair of resonators and mufflers. The system sounded awsome, just the bad drone in the 1500 RPM range when crusing. Interior noise was louder than exterior.

There is a lot of info in that thread. ;)

Chief, do you have an audio recording of the drone?

I'm thinking that we could use the techniques proposed in this thread (http://www.g8board.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16077 (http://www.g8board.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16077)) to solve the problem. If you have a recording, I can analyze it to find the resonant frequency that needs to be cancelled.

I'm sorry but i don't. I do beleive there was one posted in my thread as I had tryied to take one and another member posted it for me. It may still be in there. I'll find a link for you.

As far as the exhaust goes, I passed it on to another board member on here (Duffman). However, I haven't seen him post much on here since then. I got rid of it mostly because of the drone and some because it was a bit too loud inside the car. It sounded good out sid ebut was louder inside than outside. This is my family car and we take it on long trips so i tend to try and keep it quiet. I have my harley for when I want to be loud. :)
