So I excitably installed my Yella Terra tube and within 5 mins got a check engine light. The car runs great, but still have the light. Any ideas on what to do now?
thanks

Make sure your MAF sensor cable is connected. This seems to be a pretty common oversight.
If that is the case then it may take some driving around before the check engine light goes away.

There is only two clamps one to engine intake and one to the stock MAF and then into the airbox. I basically took out the baffle, never doing anything to the MAF. There is one fat vacuum hose to the Terra tube, same spot as the baffle had. That is hooked up. I figure it must be significant change in flow and need to either let her adjust or as some have said unhook the battery for 30 mins. This seems easy enough so I will try that....

Why not just find out what the code is so you know what you ****ed up.

Battery disconnect will only take 5-10 min to reset... I forgot to plug in my MAF when I did my HID install... the battery trick cleared the check engine light...

never threw a light with mine. there is a leak or disconnted MAF
When you make changes like this or a CAI, would it be best to disconnect the battery to have the ECM "relearn"?

Since a Volant won't fit on my GXP Auto, I might be interested in one of these.
Where do you buy and how much.
Thanks

The RotoFab will fit the GXP just fine. It's much better than spending $150 for a plastic tube and $50 for a K&N drop-in that doesn't increase airflow much at all.

Well how come everyone else that did that mod says it doesn't add much power? You are the only one that says it does. I think somewhere along the line your test results between the RotoFab and the modded stock airbox are skewed.
The baffled intake tube isn't restricting, it just has baffles to cut down on noise. Air takes the path of least resistance, in which case it's wide open going from the MAF to the TB. The stock filter flows very well, and those that added a K&N drop-in didn't notice any increase in power.
