I am a new G8 GT owner (as of 4/4). Just found the site and thought I'd join in the fun and games!

Here's what I have:

White GT
Premium Package
Sunroof
All season tires

I'm getting the windows tinted on Monday. After that is done I'll post up a pic or two. Question for you...would you go with the "reflective" (silvery color) or "non-reflective" (black color) tint with the white vehicle? I can't decide.

Welcome. I have the same car with the sports package. I have 20% black tint. looks very good. do a search on "White Hot" and you will find my pic's.

Has anyone else had an issue with the plastic panel that holds the sunroof control rattling? Whenever I have the sunroof open, the stereo too loud, or go over bumps it rattles. I went to the dealer, they ordered a new panel and will replace it, but I have a feeling it will be the same issue.

YES!!!!! gonna have it looked at when I go in for oil change.

All these complaints about vibration with the sunroof are making me wonder if I should get one or not. I've had enough rattling issues with the T-Tops in my Trans Am... don't feel like putting up with that all the time.

It's not just the sunroof. It happens when the windows are down or you go over bumps as well. I've even had it happen when I have the stereo up really loud.

The tint company I'm using told me that the reflective were legal. I'll have to see them in person but I'll probably go with non-reflective.

Mines 20 percent. 25 is whats legal in Indiana, but I've not had any problems.

Virginia has a tight tint law:
Light Transmission: 50% front / 35% back
Reflection: Less than 20%

If I were you, I'd go with the legal 50% / 35% black non-reflective
Some coloured tints are illegal (red, blue)

I have 32% all around and love it.
(TX limit 32% front / 16% back? some source say 25%/unlimited)

The darker (limo) tints make our dark interiors feel small.
Your 35% would be fine.
GM really need to release light-coloured interior G8's!
