Has anyone removed this? Ford has always done the same thing except they call theirs a snorkle. Normally leads down into the fenderwell. Very restrictive. Ford guys see a few gains by removing this and the air silencer in the maf. Just wondering if anyone else has seen a approvement/ gains by removing theirs.

The snorkel in our cars pulls in cool air from behind the front bumper. There's actually a small hole in the bottom panel that allows some cool air in. If you remove the snorkel, it will allow a lot of hot engine compartment air to enter the intake. Yes there will be less of a restriction, but the gains would almost definitely be negated by the additional heat in the air.

Ya, i saw the half dollar size entrance through the plastic baffle. I might remove that entire baffle under the vehicle so more air can move through the fender. Ive never seen a baffle that large under a vehicle.
