: Columbus - 9/20 - Cars and Coffee
I went to cars and coffee in Columbus yesterday. I had the only G8 there. Long row of BMW's. We should try and get some G8's/GTO's out for the next one.
Typically they meet for a couple hours then caravan to lunch.
Next one is 9/20. I'm told that it after will involve a drive to Hocking Hills and driving on some fun roads with a food stop after.
Here's the official web site even though September info not posted yet - http://columbuscarsandcoffee.com/
Here's a picture out how outnumbered I was :)

HUMBLER 08-25-2009, 08:23 AM I've been wanting to do this...
Make a great day, coffee, cruise and then end up at the WCUCC cruise for Chili for dinner!!!
dee99gt 08-27-2009, 03:08 PM I need to remember this.. I'll come..
Spankis 08-27-2009, 03:35 PM This is the high-end ( pretentious ) Columbus Cars and Coffee event in my opinion; just look at the cars there.....
There is a better one held every other Saturday at the Cup O' Joe in Lennox Town Center on Olentangy River road. I went to the first 2 of these events until my motor spun a bearing ( no I don't have a G8, I'm just here for the info ;) ). They truly are fun, and it's just a bunch of normal car guys and always a decent variety of cars. Once my motor is back together I'll be out again! The next one is September 5th.
WHO: All automotive enthusiasts in Central Ohio
WHAT: Columbus Cars & Coffee
WHEN: Saturday, September 5th - 8:00am to 10am
WHERE: Cup O' Joe - Lennox Town Center (off of Olentangy River Rd next to Rt.315, near OSU)
WHY: Start off the weekend right...enjoy a cup of coffee and the conversation of like-minded car nuts!

Yeah I sort of thought and was worried about that before I went knowing what cars are typically there but I will say I spoke to a few of the "higher end" car guys and they seemed pretty down to earth.
We were a little out of place I thought but as time went on we felt more a part of things.
If we get enough G8's there then we can always be off in our own little corner :)
I would like to attend the other CNC in Columbus but won't be able to on 9/5. Having it near OSU on football Saturday's isn't the best idea imo.... and that's why I can't attend 9/5 -- will be at the game vs Navy.

I've actually never attended the other cars and coffee, but I've heard from others and seen the types of cars that show up. I will agree that Football Saturdays will be rough, but it won't always coincide and changing the location for only a few occassions would likely reduce turnout and confuse people. I have OSU season tickets as well since I'm a student but actually won't make it to the Navy game as I have a wedding to attend - you need a single Navy ticket?? ;)
Also, I'm pretty sure you joined columbusracing not long ago if I recall. It's a fun site but there are definitely some crazy retards that can be bothersome. I go by the same name on there. Once the rebuild is done on my Stealth's motor, you'll see my car out there again....

I know it's not a Pontiac lol, but I've put many hours and dollars into it. I'm mainly on here because my uncle just bought a G8 GT a few weeks back and is looking to mod it a bit. Hopefully I'll see you and other Columbus guys around!
I've attended the Cup'O Joe's twice before...pretty relaxing environment....
never been to this one...
but I'm up for going to anything on weekend mornings....
HUMBLER 08-28-2009, 04:09 PM The other one is the CR crew right?

It's open to any car guys in Columbus, but yes the founder/organizer is a CR guy named Clay. Good guy for sure.

Sorry for the slow reply. Was on vacation for a couple weeks then slammed at work ever since I got back.
Anyway, nice pics. Yes I joined columbusracing not long ago.
Hopefully I will make the Cup O Joes one on the 19th.

Cool I'll try and hit Cup O Joe's also.
How many are going to this one on the 20th?
Reminder for this on Sunday. The rain date is 9/27.
HUMBLER 09-19-2009, 09:58 AM Hit my cruise in on the way back in to town if the weather holds! Shameless thread steal I know but would like to meet some of you guys.
I've been told CNC for tomorrow will be rescheduled due to weather.
Humbler -- is yours on regardless or depending on weather?
HUMBLER 09-20-2009, 01:25 PM Yeah, we'll do the chilli inside if it continues to rain.
I'm told the CNC isn't this Sunday... sometime in October... no date set yet.
