i just got the g8 gt 4 days ago, and i been reading alot about intakes and the 2 i saw the most gains were vararam and roto fab. i saw both have their problems with throttle responce. so which one really is better, for gains, and should i tune it first then do an intake? or intake first then tune? i also was reading that these's cars are help back alot from the factory. my good buddy got hp tuners should i go with that or cortex?
now for exhaust's should i go with the SLP loudmouth? i want sonething mean and loud!!!:) but aslo want power gains from it.

Don't forget about the New Era OTR intake as well! It's more about appearance than anything, but I do believe the Vararam and New Era OTR style intakes exhibit more power once the car is above 40mph vs Rotofab. I know New Era's OTR intake produces more power vs their side-mount intake which is similar to Rotofab's. If you go with Rotofab, check out the GRRRR8 mods.
A new tune and intake (proven with at least the top 3 mentioned here) will net you a lot more power for very little $$$.

ok thanks! that helps. now my buddy got HP TUNERS and its only like 50 for a tune and he can tune it whenever i want. i was going to but the cortex tuner but i want to put long tube headers on later on down the road! and i also hate that stupid 4k rev limiter!

Goose the throttle in park.
Hey, welcome. I would suggest the following modifications in this order:
1. Flux Capacitor: This can be mounted in the center console, or in the trunk.

2. Mr. Fusion. This one is a bit more tricky, and will probably void your warranty.
