ok, so I'm in sales and I put around 1K/wk on my car and so I need to keep my stock exhaust as it's nice and quiet... What I am thinking of is a set of cutouts!

Where would be the best place to install a pair? and then I'm also trying to figure out a discreat place for the switch??? Was thinking somewhere under the dash?

Has anyone else installed these? got pics?

PFYC.com is selling Quick Time Cut outs on sale for like 160$ if im correct. if you don't want a switch, they make cut outs that work through the RPM range. for example, if you set it at 4k everytime you hit 4k it would open up. some love it cus you don't loose the low end back pressure and gain all the top end free flow w/o worrying a thing. as far as exhaust shops to install, most places wont do it, mainy clearance issues and the work it actually takes. i had a buddy's dad do mine since he owns a body shop. get some clips man if you do go that way.

I wonder how hard it'd be to rig them up so everytime you put the tranny in Sport mode they'd open up?

Cutouts with a Switch are bad@ss. I have some on my charger and it's the loudest exhaust you can get all while wanting to go back to stock when u have children in the car. Got mine with installation for $400 installed, but did the wiring myself. You'll have to just get them installed at an exhaust shop, they may not know how to do the wiring which should be easy to do yourself, but I'm sure any good speed shop can do a full installation, but you'll PAY an arm and a leg.

i got some cut-outs on my 1969 chevy nova (manual ones...not electric)

i cant get clips cause its at my parents house...

it goes from mild to holy crap dragster loud...

ill get some sound clips next time i go....

Cutouts on a stock engine with no headers or cam will sound like ass. Why would you do that? It is like punching holes in our mufflers back in the 70's. It sounded like crap.
