Has anyone ordered a catch can, other than Billet Prototypes? I'm not bashing on James in anyway, but I ordered mine last week and emailed/called him and I haven't heard from him. I found others that ordered almost a month ago and haven't heard/seen anything yet. Don't get me wrong...I want the Billet catch can. But just in case, I'm want to know if there are other manufactures/retailers for G8 GT catch cans.

ebay has some cool ones...
I'm just not convinced I NEED one.

I also emailed him a couple days ago, haven't heard back yet though. Maybe he's just on vacation or something for the week or something?

My opinion on the catch can is that anything that will keep my car running better, longer, can't be a bad thing right? From what I've read they're less important on NA cars, but its not a terribly expensive mod so I will probably pick one up.

I made my own using an air compressor filter and housing from Home Depot. Total cost about 20 bucks. Works very well, collects lots of oil.
The only downside, IMO, is the fact that no matter which catch can you decide to use, empting it is a real pain. They need to design one that automatically dumps the oil back into the crankcase.

I ordered mine on 5 Aug. and was just going to patiently wait till the end of the month till I tried to call. On his website it says that "Products will be shipping out in 1-6 weeks depending on what was ordered, starting from the august 3rd." So I'm kind of thinking that I will have to wait 6 weeks after I ordered mine.....I guess I should have researched a little more.

James is in the process of producing an entire new run of catch cans at the moment, and is a bit hard to get a hold of because of that. Do not worry, he will get you taken care of. The quality is really worth the wait.

It looks like MNM's catch can is se up for Vettes. Did you have to adapt it to work on the G8 or do they have a specific G8 kit? Thanks.

Thanks for the info Rich. That makes me feel a little better. If you can reach out to him, you may want to tell him to post something in reference to this. I've noticed at least half dozen G8 owners being concerned with their orders. I'm going to wait for now since I really want his product.

I just got info from James (directly). He's in the process of making a batch of catch cans and he's extremely swamped in work. We are looking at a 1-6 week turn around. I'm going to wait patiently. I've seen his work and it's worth it!!!!!
