Ok I test drove a G8 this weekend and I couldn't figure out how to reset the trip computer. It said hit return to reset, but it kept changing the display or radio. Idiot salesman had no clue.
So what button do you hit to rest the the trip, mpg etc.
thanks

I believe you hold down the enter button on the steering wheel to reset it to zero. I can't remember if the enter button is the left or right scroll button though. LOL

Enter is pushing in the left scroll button. Some may care or not, but the trip is tied into the Avg MPG. When you reset one, the other resets with it. Not sure if you can change that in the customization menu.

I have yet to find a way to change it. I really doubt that you can change it. Most cars are set up the same way...you reset the trip & you end up resetting the avg MPGs.

You can reset the Trip Mileage alone if you hold the scroll wheel down for about 3 seconds.
Seems a bit backwards to me because if you just push and release it, it resets trip, mpg and average speed while holding it down for 3 seconds will reset only the selected value.

Has anyone determined if there is a way to support a trip A and trip B? I enjoyed this feature on the GTP and have not found a way to track 2 trips on the G8.

I've also looked and I don't think that capability exists.
