I know many within the G8 community are hesitant to go with wider meats in the rear due to the relatively narrow space provided by the G8's fender wells, etc. I found a great solution that I thought would be great to share. I found a great guy @ Richmann Motorsports located in Simi-Valley that does professional fender modifications for many performance BMW and car ethusiats throughout Socal. Richy did such a great, clean, and professional job that I felt compelled to share. He truly knows what he's doing and is one of the only shops I know of that has the experience to do this correctly.

I opted to have my fenders trimmed about an inch to accomodate my CCW's and 285 rubber. He removed about an inch of material, sanded it down super smooth and coated the finish with a rust protective enamel. Only a trained eye and a car lift would yield any hint that anything was done back there. I was nervous about the procedure... but now I am so satisfied! :) Here are some crappy cell phone pics for reference

I know, I lived in SoCal for 25 years, sold my home in Huntington Beach for 1.2 million. Then moved to Texas and bought my new custome bulit 6000 sqf single story home w/ six car garage on 12 acres of land over looking a nice gulf course and lake....all for $325.000 and still have money put away...:driving:

Oh... and a couple of rental properties:)

And we don't have wild fires, mud slides, earth quakes, or being in a bankrupt state to deal with. But I hear its a nice place to visit. :D

You want to contact Richy @ Richmann Motorsports. His # is 805-404-6166 and the shop location is 1382 E. Los Angeles Ave Simi Valley, CA. I believe his pricing is $180 for G8 trimming, but I would check with him 1st. Great guy to deal with...
