SMITTY 03-17-2007, 04:47 PM I think it was mentioned once on this forum already, but this thread i'm linking to is pretty new....

immortal 03-17-2007, 10:03 PM Thanks.
APS is also working on a setup for the VE/G8.

sixstringthang 04-18-2007, 04:56 PM Price!!!! Someone Give Me Price!!!!
chiefpontiac 05-31-2007, 07:40 PM Will you have any difficulty with this being installed along with DOD? or will DOD be shut off by the re-tune?
sixstringthang 06-04-2007, 01:36 PM my question is how will the drivetrain handle 600 rwhp? if i had that, i would be in hard launch heaven, but i seriously doubt the rearend and the rest of the drivetrain for that matter can handle such a hp boost. i know the cts-v had the same problem and was eventually recalled

:iagree:
Although, since the T56 handles the LS7 and Viper power effectively enough, and the new T6060 is supposed to be an upgrade to that, at least there's a good starting point, transmission-wise. (I forget, do the LS7 vehicles get a different clutch than the rest of the LS2 lineup?)
But Rear-end wise is what I'm a little concerned with. Although, there are new gears available for it already.

Let's see some dyno runs and some videos from the track. Should be a real treat.

If I may direct you to some readily available vision of the TT in action.
This was taken recently in South Australia. - It is a Commodore owned by the Tuner's Company.

And this thread may also be enlightening on just what this system can provide.

Cool_Hand_Luke 06-10-2007, 01:45 PM Those videos are for a different kind of crowd.
Let's see the power being put to the ground with some 1/4 mile runs or taking on other cars on a race circuit and winning.
Most buyers just want a great looking car to drive. I think that for many of the G8 owners who are willing to modify their cars want a weekend racer/V8 Supercar that they can drive everyday, not a drifter.

The Gen-TTR isn't just a drift car. It's everything under the sun. A weekend racer that's still street legal. http://www.ls1turbo.com.au/forsale.htm
Cool_Hand_Luke 06-10-2007, 08:33 PM That's the reason I asked for the important videos, drag and circuit. I just stated that I believe most people who will be modifying their car won't be using it as a drifter.
$5,500 is a good price for the Gen TT kit potentially producing 600 hp and I'm not knocking that.

IMHO, those cars are so professionally presented.

that's the kit without any of the supporting modifications. that means:
no injectors
no reprogrammed ECU/PCM
no 2bar MAF / MAP sensors
no electronic boost controller
basic... you could get all of that done in the states easy, but it'll still be a couple grand for all that.
Street Tuner 06-25-2007, 03:49 PM The only fuel system mods are 60lb injectors and the tune.......nothing else
Make the US price $6000 and we will include both those parts to make it truly complete :)

ttamrettus 07-02-2007, 10:16 PM Street Tuner (Street Tuna). I have some questions.
I will probably have an A6 G8 GT, since I do a lot of driving, 25,000 + miles per year.
I was considering getting the exhaust, PCM & CAI you offer (http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=75838) and later getting the Twin Turbo.
1. How would the TT package respond to your exhaust and PCM tune (or vice versa)?
2. Would a re-tune be needed and how much would that be, roughly?
3. How badly (roughly) will I hurt my mpg?
4. How much fun will this combo be? :yumyum:
ToneyTone 07-05-2007, 04:48 PM I just can't wait to see the different type of mods people will be doing to the G8.
