I just had the GT tinted this morning at LA Tint in Sterling VA. They did a great job. It looks great and I will post a photo later today. I got it tinted with the ceramic based film because it has the best heat reflection and light reflection of their materials and because it is not metal based, it does not interfere with electronics. I got 50% on all 4 doors and 35% on the rear window.

LA Tint in Manassas did mine on Monday. 50% on the fronts, 35% on the rear doors and back window. I got the "Ultimate" tint, is that the same that you got?

I got the Pinnacle Series. 50% doors and 35% backlight.

I got mine tinted at LA in Alexandri....... 30% all around...... with the ultimate

I wanted to stay VA legal so I did 50% on the front door windows and didn't like the 2-tone look so I did the rear doors to match the front doors. The backlight is at the VA legal max of 35%.

Ours goes for tint Saturday morning. 5% everywhere except 30% on the front doors.

wow.5% is way too much for me.I had mine done today and got 35 all around because I dont like the mix of different shades and the 20% was too dark at night.
the 20 did look really nice in the sun though.

Dealer had my windows tinted at Ziebart, however he did not cover the back brake light in the rear window. It can be tinted, correct? I think I'm going to take it back and have it done correctly.

I've never tinted a car before so I have no idea what it costs. Can someone provide what they paid or give me a range I should look for? I realize it is like anything and I shouldn't shop by price alone, but I don't have a clue what it might cost.

In my personal experience, for 7 windows you should be paying from 150 to 200 dollars. Thats with lifetime guarantee and any tint you want.

I'm debating tint, but in CA we have strict laws regarding tinting the front windows:
Front Side Windows Must allow more than 70% of light in.
Back Side Windows Any darkness can be used.
Rear Window Any darkness can be used.

so i don't know, I'll prob just get the back and rear tinted 30%.

pfft, cops are not going to pull you over for tints for the most part. My buddy had limo all around and he was fine until he would get pulled over for a minor traffic violation. Than the tickets would fly! No front plate, tints, lol.

I disagree - got pulled over 3 separate times in my 94 Z28 for window tinting... and mine were legal!

Yeah in Illinois, you will get pulled over in a heartbeat with dark tinted driver side windows. Easy target for the State patrols. $$$$

You roll the dice when you choose your window tint. I take my chances and I have 5%. Being as it's only a $110 equipment violation(non-moving violation) that won't affect insurance, I'm willing to take that risk.

But there are cops out there that enforce tint violations.

I paid $120 and that was from the stealership. Tint around here is in the $100 ballpark.

The tint in quite noticable compared to OEM. This tint is a ceramic based film, not metalized. It is more dark grey than black. It's heat reduction and light reflection reduction numbers are better the the numbers for 35% metalized film. The 35% film on the backlight has better numbers than metalized 20% film. The effect inside is very noticeable. My black GTP hadtop of the line metalized film, 50% front doors, 35% rear doors and backlight and this film keeps the interior cooler and with less glare. Because it is not metalized, it also doesn't effect any electronic devices in the car.

I just did 35 all round on mine, I like to go out and have a beer now and then and I don't want to get stopped for limo windows.

Mine has a lifetime warranty as well. It may just be that different parts of the country charge different rates.
