The owner's manual says 125 ft-lbs. When I replaced my OEM wheel after test-fitting the spare I racked it up to about 110 and even that seemed like a lot more than I would associate with an alloy.
Any comments?

GM normally uses 100 ft. lbs on just about everything (non truck), but I'd stick with what the manual recommends

This is what discount told me to put my aftermarket wheels at on the G8

I'm guessing I'll be OK with anything in the 110 - 125 range. Looks like I'm going to have to get another click torque wrench - those beam torque wrenches are hard to get just right.

It matters less what the numbers actually are and more that each lug nut is the same as the others. I was surprisec to learn how much uneven torque can contribute to warped rotors.
But you are right - 125 is pretty tight...

Given the weight of the G8 and the size of the studs (1mm), I can understand the 125 ftlbs.

This is exactly what I was told as well.
I have the ROH Drift R's. They are the same size as the OEM 19" wheels. I didn't want to buy new tires yet. When it comes time for new tires I may buy two more wheels for the back and go with a staggered setup. We will see.

I think you got in a hurry. The size of the wheel studs is 14mm. :D
If it makes you guys feel any better, GM has been using 14mm x 1.5 wheel studs on the C/K (Silverado/Sierra) trucks since 1988. I've seen only 2-3 studs like that fail in the 10+ years that I've worked at a tire shop. If one of those breaks or fails in any way, you have got to be doing something very wrong.
