I've noticed - at least I think I have, I don't think it's my imagination - that the level of the LCD displays (DIC and radio/AC display) will occasionally drop to a level that is a lot dimmer than where I thought they were set.

I can still bring 'em back up with the brightness control, though....??

I'n noticing this during the daytime, which is when I'm almost always in the car. I don't think there is any kind of automatic display lighting level compensation so I'm not sure what I'm seeing. Any comments?

Also, I have noticed that the center console Nintendo display seems disproportionately brighter than anything else in the car. (Except for that damned rearview mirror airbag status display.) This is really bothersome at night when, in order to get that thing down to an acceptable level, you have to turn everything else down to an unacceptably dim level.

Are you guys seeing the same thing?

I haven't noticed this happening in ours. You guys must be much more astute than I am. I don't really notice the gauges in the middle or the airbag light. The gauges in the middle are ugly but I just seem to ignore them. LOL

I will keep an eye for this now that you have mentioned it.

I'm thinking that there may be something going on in low-light situations, where the interior lights think it's nighttime before the headlights do....

Or maybe I'm just going insane. :eek2:

havent noticed the lighting dimming during daylight. but will check it out. however def agree on the crazy bright airbag light. piece of tinted static film or window tint may cure this...

I'll agree about the Airbag light. I ended up cutting a piece of black electrical to match its shape. That light is so bright I can still see it through the tape!
