Is anyone looking to Lower their G8?

I lower my previous car with H&R springs and being young and stupid I didn't change the camper setting well I went through tires really quick but then again the car cornered like crazy.

I'm looking to do something to mine. My 1st option right now is Pedders, unless that doesn't pan out. It's not looking to good right now though.

Why is that?

Nah. It looks decent, but doesn't add enough to warrant it. Especially on PA roads. My camaro drags on some roads here, I don't want my G8 doing the same thing...

If you don't hear from Jamey soon we can schedule something up here if you'd like.

Just give me a call Rob. If you want to schedule it for around your Pedders days.

I still don't understand why anyone would want to lower this car, that is unless they drive on perfectly flat and level roads, with no inclines or potholes???

:dunno:

living in Florida we got perfect roads with no potholes and with it lowers you can steer around them faster hell even drift around them at the same time with my luck get another ticket for reckless driving!!!

What does your camper have to do with your car? lol

Camber?:dunno:

I am ALL about lowering mine as long as it's not impossible to do so. I was thinking about Eibach though...:dunno: I would love to have negative camber all the way around. Just a little bit not a lot.

I will lower mine when Eibach releases their kit in late May or June. I spoke with them last week and thats the expected release date. I used their springs on my 300, great ride, not too low and closed up the gap between the tire and fender well. Its worth the $250 for the kit and just about any shop with a coil spring compessor can install. You definetly need to realign the front and rear. I never had a problem with tire wear on my 300 after alignment. Eibach usually has a medium drop of 1.2 to 1.4 at the most. Thats perfect for these cars. Most people won't even know they have been lowered, but, you will.

:iagree:

This car is plenty low as it is. When I'm scraping if I don't hit my driveway at the right angle and can't pull all the way into parking spots for fear of hitting the curb, then it's already as low as it needs to be.

Now, if you want to tune the suspension for better lateral performance, that's a whole different story. You can do that without lowering it to skateboard level.

I personally love the way it rides and corners. I won't jack with it suspension-wise.:nonono:

Now intake, fuel-tune, tranny-tune and exhaust...that's another story.:wink2:

I wouldn't lower this car. The roads in CA are too rough.

If I have the time in the near future, I think I'm going to lower mine. I just don't want to go more than an inch or so...

Inch or so would be just right.

I could see taking mine down a max of 1", no more - even 1/2" might do it for me.

I'd really just like to take a little of the body roll out of it.
