This is going out to anyone with a G8 that would be interested in being part of a group photo shoot.

I would like to have this completed within the next couple of weeks as the Fall weather is beautiful with the colors. But it is also unreliable with the environmental conditions.

I am thinking that the latest that we will be able to pull this off will be the weekend of the 10th October. Weather permitting of course. But be prepared that it could be as soon as the weekend of the 4/5.

Over the next week or so I will be scouting out areas to have this shoot take place. If you have any suggestions please feel free to submit them to me, and I will check it out, but don't take offense if it is not chosen.

Please post in this thread if you are able to guarantee that you can commit to this opportune event.

As well please submit through PM to me your contact information ie Phone # so that I can get a hold of you directly regarding this event.

If you choose either of those two weekends I am definately in. How far from Edmonton could we go? Maybe if we went somewhere south we could get the Red Deer crew, or even the Calgary guys to come. I'd like to be in, but My plans are always last minute, & depending on the weather it might be parked.(hopefully not though)

The first place is a nice open park area with ever greens in the background. With the temps dropping there wont be anyone around.
The second place is near the Downtown area. It is an older building that used to be involved in automotive repair since the turn of the century. It is now closed down. But it is on a fairly busy street so this is that maybe one.

At this time 27 Sept. I have two confirmed attendants. I am hoping that a few more people can make it out. Be great to make this the BIG gathering of G8s as it does not seem that other areas in NA can get them together. Just waiting on PMs of anyone else.

I was wondering if that was the place you were referring to. I've never been crazy about the building, but it looks kind of cool in pictures.

I totally want as many people to be involved in this as we can get.

We can postpone until the following weekend but it is the ThanksGiving weekend and we are getting into colder weather by the day.

I will leave it up to the group as a whole to decide.

The next weekend is going to be tough for me anyway: probably going to Calgary to the family thing for Thanksgiving....

I'm in a similar boat, earlier is better.

Well from the looks of it John you may have to head back early on Sunday to make it to this years first and final photoshoot.

So as it sits we will still be meeting at Northgate at 10AM on Sunday. As for weather it says +10 variable clouds.

Supposed to be less then 1mm of rain/snow @ only 40% POP and be over in the morning.

The weather network is still saying the same for tomorrow. So lets keep our fingers crossed.

If anyone needs to clean their car before we take photos let me know as the car wash on base is super cheap and I can get you extra time if needed for your money.

Even though the weather wasn't the best and we couldn't get to the other site due to some kind of parade on the go three of us made it out.
