If it is a 888 then its the last numbers on the 'vin' if not then dont think you can find out.

I believe pontiac is going to bring about 18,000 G8's for 2008.

You will know if you have a first of the 888 because they have a badge on the dash and the vin will be 988xxx where xxx is the # of your G8 out of 888
